Defaulted to hump day...

Bit of a throwback.

This was the first ever pic I posted of myself hard (I still tried to keep it artsy!) on my old profile, pre-nuke.

It came about through one of my earliest Reddit conversations. My account was so new that I could barely post anywhere, and I was getting maybe one or two upvotes on a good day. I was about ready to throw in the towel.

Then my new friend assured me I'd be at 500 karma in no time. And when I got there, this would be her reward. At the time, 500 karma seemed impossibly far away. I genuinely thought I'd never get there, and so I went along with it. Poor girl must have made about 50 more profiles trying to help drag me over that finish line 🤣.

But get there, I did. My account was SIX WEEKS old by the time I reached that milestone, and I'm a man of my word (though I still remember the absolute terror of actually hitting “post” on this one 🤣 - albeit much more diabolical pics/gifs were later shared).

Fast forward to round (/account) two, and things feel a little easier: 500 karma took me five days this time 😂. Big shout-out to all the wonderful mods creating cool spaces for us to post in. You definitely made the second time around a little easier. Some of the newer folk won't appreciate how lucky we are to have all the Dudedoir subs, including this one!
