Meet Yaelin — aka Big Blue. She’s a superheroine. Her power? Well… take a look.

This is a character we worked on a while back and she holds a very special place in our hearts — and not just for the obvious reasons 😄

The whole premise is wonderfully unhinged: Yaelin is a blue-skinned woman whose body is literally her greatest weapon. She doesn’t need a cape, a suit, or any kind of gadget. What she DOES have is an absolutely ridiculous amount of power packed into her chest — and she’s not shy about using it to take down bad guys. We’re talking full-on combat, action sequences, property destruction… all boob-powered. It’s as glorious as it sounds.

But here’s what makes it more than just a gag: there’s actually a story here. Yaelin has a life, a personality, a relationship with her boyfriend Renato (who, bless his heart, tries his best to keep up). She faces enemies who are just as — let’s say gifted — as she is, some from this world and some decidedly not. The stakes get genuinely wild by the end, and we mean that literally: the villain’s plan involves breasts on a planetary scale. Yeah.

The tonal mix was something we really loved working with — action-comedy on the surface, but with actual character moments underneath. And visually it was an absolute playground. The transformation sequences, the scale, the expressions, the clothing that simply cannot cope… Mariano went all out on the linework and building those blue tones in color was one of the most fun challenges we’ve tackled.

Li Fang Fei is a fantasy comic set in a world where some people have the gift of commanding faeries. Our protagonist has that gift. Unfortunately, her faerie is extremely chaotic and has very strong opinions about what Li Fang Fei should look like.
Spoiler: her outfits do not survive the first chapter intact.

The BE is front and center from page one — magical, sudden, and handled with the kind of attention to detail (clothing strain, reactions, the whole thing) that we know you all appreciate. We’ve been making this kind of content for years and we genuinely love getting it right.
