Earth is uninhabitable. It has been for sixty years since the solar event that atomized its atmosphere and destroyed all life on the surface. In those sixty years since, mankind has endured on the surface of the moon and mars, working away at their only chance at survival- finding a new home.
6,760 ships are constructed. Dubbed the AA-1 class, their job is simple- to find a new home for mankind. With a crew of six, each one is sent in a different direction, searching viable star systems for a habitable planet for mankind to occupy. These ships fly slower than light, so the crews are kept in stasis during the many years of transit between stars, on a mission that is set to last hundreds of years.
Our characters are the crew of the HS-5, and they’ve just awoken from stasis for the first time, seven light years away from home. Their search for a new home has just begun.
