Doing my first nude 5k event tomorrow. I don’t have the knees to run anymore so I’m joining the walking group. I’ve walked 5k or more at the event location several times so I’m reasonably prepared physically. But it’s been too cool and cloudy this week to keep up my tan, so I’m working on that today to reduce the odds of a burn tomorrow. Sun feels good!

It’s cooled down to 90° at 7:30 pm here. I’m sitting under a ceiling fan, she’s got a basin of water for her feet. In our late 60s we’re emulating her parents’ behavior from a few decades ago. Well except we assume they were clothed.

There’s over 200 wooded acres at my in-laws’ family tree farm that would be great nude walking territory except the woods are full of game cameras, most owned by the guys who hunt here but some belong to family members. I’ve not told anyone I hike (well, spend all my time here) nude though I think I’ve been caught on the hunters’ cameras before. Anyway, I keep my walks to the couple of acres and road immediately next to the house so I take several a day just to stretch my legs and help maintain my tan. Looking forward to my first group nude hike when I get back to western PA soon.

I’ve been working on an all over tan since May in anticipation of going to White Thorn Lodge this summer. Unfortunately circumstances kept me from going before we left town to visit family for a couple weeks. The only nude time I’ve had while traveling has been sleeping and showers. I LOVE an outdoor shower!

Now we are on our own again at our vacation home and I’m a bit worried the tan is fading. I’m trying to rejuvenate it by doing some work in the yard until I can pick up a decent sunning lounger. Moving around gets me a more even tan anyway so I’m glad for the work.

I stay nude the whole time we are here. My wife is supportive BUT she doesn’t like me being naked so much outdoors as she is afraid I’ll be seen. There is a dirt road that passes the house and nowhere good to hide if a vehicle appears without my hearing it. 90% chance it would be a neighbor from a half mile in one direction or a cousin from a half mile in the other. Both are older men and a bit redneck so they’d either be disgusted or have a good laugh about it. This road really doesn’t go anywhere but here and in 4 days I still haven’t seen any vehicle but our own.

Five years ago when I first started being nude here I was surprised by a pickup that arrived silently and I tried to cover up with the tree branches I was moving to a brush pile. I know I looked like an idiot. I THINK by now I’m confident enough that I would react better. I mean, what can I do if caught 30 yards from my clothes? Maybe I’ll start wearing my floppy sun hat so I could at least cover my privates with that out of consideration for whoever it is. But really I think my wife is more likely to be embarrassed by my being caught than I would.

I’d planned my first nudist camp visit for today but the weather prediction is cloudy all day and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Tomorrow’s forecast is warm and sunny, so I’m putting it off one more day. Disappointing but I want my first time to be the best weather I can get. Will hang out here on the deck today when not busy with other things.

It’s just 56°F rn but the sun feels great on my skin. I have my coffee here every morning it’s warm enough. No breeze now so the morning is perfect.

The trees hide the deck from all the houses behind me. I have neighbors on both sides though. I’m screened from the nearest by some deck furniture and I’ve long been putting up a towel to my left so my neighbor there can’t see me. But their deck is over 100’ away and they are rarely out there so starting today I’m doing away with the towel. There’s nothing obscene about my being naked on my deck and I trust that if they have a problem with it they would let me know.
