51/m here from the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve worked in Film & Television production since 1993.
I love what I do and so happy I found something I was passionate about at such a young age. I’ve done a lot of cool gigs.
I love writing screenplays I love creating content. I love being a cinematographer. I love acting. I love working in sports. I love meeting people within the Film ministry.
When we’re on site it’s like having a second family. Not a lot of people understand what we do and it really is an incredible job.
Years you know, people move or you get married have kids and life just kind of takes over sometimes and you only see these people when you work on set with them. The past 15 years I’ve been working at a lot of live television sports, so not a lot of film sets, and those are the sets that I miss the most.
So I started shooting my own short films and you know working with my friend that I’ve had since 18. Now he’s telling me he feels that he’s getting too old. His body is hurting. He doesn’t want to do it much anymore and you know I’m still wanting to get out there and do all this fun stuff and I just feel like I need to create some sort of filmmaking support group or something, even for myself
So if you have an interest in filmmaking, you’re in California in near San Francisco and you wanna join or if you’re from a different country and you wanna learn about filmmaking and you wanna do something fun and can work remotely. Please reach out. I’m definitely interested in meeting all of you
