Run, Ripper, Run:
Someone starts leaving bodies that look way too familiar, like they pulled pages straight out of Stefan’s worst years and decided to sign his name on it. Stefan swears it’s not him, but everyone else is already looking at him like it’s only a matter of time. Klaus is the only one who doesn’t treat him like a ticking bomb. He offers something simple: stay with me, and I’ll find who’s doing it… and when I do, I’ll make sure they regret breathing. The problem is the “stay with me” part wasn’t a suggestion. And Stefan realizes real quick Klaus doesn’t do favors without claiming something back.

Masquerade Incident:
Mikaelson masquerade. All velvet, chandeliers, and predators pretending they’re polite. Stefan shows up for intel or to stop something, thinking he can blend in like that’s ever worked. Klaus clocks him almost immediately, because of course he does and instead of calling him out, Klaus just invites him to dance. Smiling like he’s winning something no one else can see. The whole night turns into a quiet little war: public manners, private threats, fingers brushing too close, words that mean two things. Who slips first? Who admits they want it first?

Brotherhood, Interrupted:
Damon forces a team-up. Some bigger threat, some messy situation, “work together or people die” sort of thing. Stefan agrees because that’s who he is. Klaus agrees because well, Klaus wants to watch Stefan try to stay righteous while the world keeps daring him not to. The more they work together, the more Klaus starts treating Stefan like something precious and the more Stefan starts trusting the monster who shouldn’t be trustworthy.

The Confessional:
Stefan ends up in a church, trying to pray away something that isn’t going anywhere. Klaus finds him there, doesn’t mock him, doesn’t laugh, just sits back like he is Satan while Stefan seeks salvation. Klaus offers a deal: one night. No lying. No masks. Stefan can ask whatevr, and Klaus will answer. Truth for truth. The more Stefan talks, the more Klaus realizes he doesn’t just want Stefan broken, he wants him real. What happens when the things they admit can’t be taken back?

Breakup = Ripper Temptation:
Elena’s gone, and Stefan’s trying to hold himself together with shaky hands and forced smiles, hoping that enought patience and it’ll stop hurting. Klaus doesn’t do comfort the way humans do. He sees the cracks and decides to use it, Stefan was his friend when he was a Ripper after all. “You’re grieving like a human and starving like a vampire,” he says, to him. He doesn’t shove Stefan into darkness, he just stands beside it and makes it sound like relief. Like freedom. Maybe Stefan doesn’t have to be good anymore if being good cost him everything.
