Ended things with my 48yo bf (i'm 22) bcos of toys+the distance

So yeah. we were together almost 8 months. age gap never really bothered me, we clicked pretty well and when we actually saw each other it was good.

two things ruined it though.

first, he hated toys. like fully against them. i like using them, either alone or with a partner, and every time i brought it up he’d shut it down and make me feel weird for even wanting that. said he didn’t need “extra stuff” and that was that.

second, he lived like 4 hours away and somehow it was always on me to drive to him. every single time. when i said maybe we could meet halfway or he could come my way once in a while it just turned into arguments. got exhausting real quick.

eventually both of those things stacked up and i broke it off last week. still miss him a little but also feel lighter if that makes sense.

anyone else deal with an older guy who was super against toys or just expected you to do all the traveling? curious how it went for other people.s

22[F4M] My age gap experience, i never thought I’d be the younger one and actually love it

We started as friends and somehow turned into the most solid, fun, and intense relationship I’ve ever had. He’s calm where I’m chaotic, experienced without being controlling, and the chemistry is unreal. Anyone else in their early 20s with an older guy who just gets it? He was a recent divorcee, so I knew it was probably just a phase that wouldn’t last long
