Just got prescribed Adderall in the middle of getting sober. Have some questions & concerns
I’ve had wicked stimulant highs at raves, so I somewhat know what it’s like. And I’ve read reddit posts on stims for years. I just have some concerns before I start on them.
I’m severe ADHD. Just this week I went sober from pot and booze after 6 years. So I’m going through changes as is, which is why I think I’m not gonna start on these for a few more days.
One concern is appetite, how much is it affected? I’m underweight as is, but it was mostly from pot, booze, & nicotine screwing with appetite. Now two of those are out of my life, so it is improving for sure.
Second, long ago in rehab I met people on adderall and they did seem kinda buggy/tweaky even when they’re not on it. I’m just hoping I don’t end up like that if I take it for a year and stop if I’m still that way or some. Probably overthinking.
It’s just that I’m kind of strange as it is already, and fairly shaky. I’ll be more shaky won’t I?
How does it impact your anxiety and overthinking? I feel somewhat severe in those fields already, but again it’s somewhat improving after getting sober this week.
If I take my dose shortly after waking up and have a full 16-18 hour day, it shouldn’t affect my sleep at all right? Like mainly falling asleep.
If anyone could help me understand more I would really appreciate that.

I’ve picked them up, it’s 10mg and it’s XR, 1 capsule daily.
