I was talking to a friend yesterday about hidden profiles and how it putzles us. When it's someone who comments on a post of mine, it doesn't bother me much, but I can't understand why so many DMs are from hidden or blank profiles. Some of the messages are nicely written and specific to my post, not just the standard "Hey".

I clearly stated that I won't respond to blank or hidden profiles but close to 80% are like that.

What I'd like to know is:

If your profile is hidden, do you have pics posted? Not just a dick pic, but something you've actually posted in a sub?

If you don't post pics, do you post in subs like this .. with text only?

Why do you hide your profile? I understand some of the reasons are to avoid trolls or doxxing, but why comment on posts then? People who attack others do it, regardless of whether they can see your profile details.

This isn't a criticism of those with hidden profiles, just curiosity. Thanks!

I see quite a few profiles with a handful of well photographed and attractive photos that were posted over 6 months ago...and nothing since. Did you delete more current content? Change your mind about posting?

It's certainly better than a blank or hidden profile but I always wonder.
