Its come to my attention that in the past 24 hours there's been an influx of bots. Some are still posting Hellaverse content, but too much of it from different accounts with similar titles and then there are the bot accounts outright posting non-Hellaverse content and one even was posting underage characters.

I believe someone saw how big this sub was with little to no protection from new accounts and has just decided to flood it.

Currently some of our moderation team is MIA so I'm hand removing these when I can, but I'm going to try and send a message to the owner and her husband. They are the only mods who have permissions to change the auto-mod to block new accounts but in the mean time, I will be keeping an eye out to the best of my abilities.

So, recently Reddit rolled out a silent update where they are forcing communities that contain NSFW content to be marked as NSFW. The deciding factor appears to be how many posts are marked NSFW compared to those that aren't.

As such, the communities I own that were affected by this are this (Loona) sub and the Alastor sub.

Bee, Angel, Charlie, and Charlastor were not affected. (Yet.)

I've written an appeal for both subs, but I unfortunately doubt either will be reversed.

Sadly, this means we're going to get significantly less traction because Reddit does not allow posts from NSFW communities to be crossposted to SFW ones.

My only solution at the moment would be to make a separate post whenever I want to crosspost something from here, then link back to this subreddit in the description or comments. However, I'm not sure if Reddit has rules against doing this either, and I'm willing to bet far fewer people will check the description or comments compared to those who would normally see that something was crossposted and check out the original subreddit.

For now, there unfortunately isn't much else I can do besides wait and see how the appeals turn out and experiment with ways to keep bringing new people into the communities without breaking Reddit's rules.

It's frustrating to have the reach of these subs limited simply because they're adult spaces, especially when we've worked hard to keep NSFW content properly tagged rather than treating every post as NSFW by default. Still, r/LoonaCult18Plus and the Alastor sub aren't going anywhere. We'll just have to work around these changes as best we can.
