Story Time! One Year Married to my Little!

Hi, everybody!

My little and I wanted to share our story with you all! We met right here on reddit about a year and a half ago, and today we're celebrating one year as a married couple!

How we met: she had made a post both here on r/ddlg, as well as on r/cglpersonals; I reached out to say hi... and soon we were talking every day. Everything felt very natural, in spite of quite a large time difference (16 hours!). I would say "good morning" every night before going to bed, and "goodnight" before leaving for work each morning. Soon we were playing games together (Minecraft, Stardew), talking on vid calls, and watching Netflix shows together (shout out to Teleparty!).

It turned out that, even before we met, she had planned very soon to make a move to my country, to a city where she had lived previously. So, after a month or two, our 16 hour time difference was cut to only 2 hours! Not too long after the move, we were making plans to meet in person! We were both excited, but nervous!

She came to visit me at about the 4 month mark; we met at the airport, and the awkwardness lasted for less than a couple hours. We spent about two weeks together, seeing the local sights, watching shows (beside each other on the couch!), and cooking for each other! It felt magical, and just as natural as it had over text/phone/vid.

At the end of the visit, we had a difficult parting at the airport and resumed our long-distance relationship.

The next few months came with a lot of uncertainty, about our future together, and how we could make things work, but our bond continued to grow deeper every day. Three months after her visit to my home, I made the trip to visit her. She showed me around her city, introduced me to friends (and friends' kitties!), and... I proposed!

She said "Yes!", and said that she wanted to move back with me at the end of my visit. We got married at the city courthouse a couple days later, packed up, and flew home!

And now, here we are, one year later! We're both finding it hard to believe that it's only been a year; we both feel like we've known each other for much longer. We grow closer every day, and look forward to a long future together.

We both want to say how grateful we are for this sub; we both appreciate how supportive, kind, and welcoming those in this community can be. Neither of us ever expected to find our true love on reddit, of all places, but we are proof that it's possible! It truly has been a magical journey!

P.S. the pic is us with some very minor editing to conceal our identities (with some help from our two kitty cats).
