I wanted to share an update to my previous post stating that the Malaysian website was a knock off...

Apparently BOTH the HK site and the Malay site are authorised resellers of the Prosthesisman brand (parent company is 贵州省奇奇怪怪科技有限公司 or GuiZhou Odd technology Co., Ltd, based in Guiyang City).

This was confirmed by both the HK admin and the Malay admins, though the initial reply from the HK admin seemed to imply it wasn't a legit reseller (possible language barrier issue). When I asked more about it he said:

"Actually, we would like to clarify that this contact is indeed our legitimate, authorized agent in Malaysia. However, as they can sometimes be slow to reply, they don't handle a large volume of customers. Please note that our Malaysian agent sells products made with standard Chinese silicone. This is different from the products on our official website, which are premium models made with Smooth-On E-series silicone. Essentially, the product quality matches the respective price point. If you are looking for the Smooth-On E-series models, we highly recommend purchasing directly from our official website."

I'm struggling to find much information on the parent company as it doesn't seem to be published in romantic alphabet languages, but I found a mention of it here: http://www.junbohui.com.cn/news/202410/854.html

I haven't found an indication if the parent company does direct to consumer sales.

The Malaysian distributor also shared that there are legitimate resellers in a few countries:

So that's good news for my order! Also good to know there are multiple legit sources for the product.

Hi all

I wanted to share a word of warning about a knock off prosthesisman site that I bought a packer off.

The real site, as I just found out, is: https://www.prosthesismanhk.com/

And the site that somehow came up higher in the search results was: https://prosthesisman.easy.co/

The latter is actually owned by a Malaysian company. The PayPal account I paid into was called AZ T Studio, and by searching I found: https://www.aztstudio.com/

Which seems to be a Malaysian company that sells binders.

The images are photos of the HK packers. I'm going to see about getting a refund, via PayPal if necessary as it hasn't shipped yet. Fingers crossed etc
