2 weeks healing, need advice (trans female)

Got pierced 2 weeks ago and it was a bit of a mess from start to finish. To start, I already presume the ring is too large, and I would ideally like to downsize or change to a curved barbell in the next few days when I can next see the piercer. However, this was the only ring they could provide me with that was at 10g and titanium at the time of the appointment because the piercer's apprentice fucked up and forgot to run the autoclave that day. Of course, I had waited a week for this appointment and I was too eager to get it over with, so I took what I could get and hoped it would be extra roomy to accommodate swelling.

Well, when the piercer did finally get to piercing me, it turns out that they partially cut/tore my frenulum in the process of piercing me. However, the piercing itself seems to be healing perfectly fine. My frenulum, on the other hand, has been an absolute bitch to heal. The scabbing of the frenulum keeps getting stuck to the jewelry, and when the ring gets shifted too much, it will rip the scab off of my frenulum and sometimes cause a little bit of bleeding. My frenulum has been healing fine it seems, and the swelling on it has gone down significantly since the day of the piercing, which seems like a good sign.

My concern is this: did my piercer completely fuck me up or should I just keep nursing this with saline spray and wait it out? All of the pain and swelling overall has pretty much left at this point, and I'm feeling pretty comfortable with the look and feel of the piercing minus the frenulum issue explained above. I definitely can see that the piercer tried his best to be as close as possible but definitely cut into my frenulum by a goddamn millimeter. On top that, I definitely notice that the piercing a liiiittle shallow I feel, but I don't think it's a concern personally. Not to mention, I've definitely been... A little eager since getting the piercing, but I've been slow and gentle with it. Plus, I think it feels fucking amazing. What's y'all's advice on this? Should I try to downsize and/or change the jewelry and just keep caring for it as normal or am I risking any damage or migration long term?

P.S. Yes, I'm neutered :P

TL;DR: Piercer only had one size ring in the gauge and material I wanted on the day of the piercing, and they cut/tore my frenulum while piercing. The piercing has been healing fine, but it's getting in the way of healing my frenulum. Should I downsize/change the jewelry or do I need to restart?
