Temptation Cancun review
Wife and I are experienced swingers and went for 5 days, expecting to relax and maybe make a few new friends. We hoped for some play but it wasn’t the primary goal and we knew that it was a lifestyle adjacent scene- maybe like Hedo but less sexually charged and open.
We found that it was very much a nightclub or wedding party scene- loud omnipresent club music, open bar. The sun was amazing, the staff was amazing, the facilities were clean and well maintained.
The crowd was interesting. Very straight with a lot of people super into performing their gender. Easily 3/4 of the women had boobjobs (no judgement there just observation) and the TRT grandpa or straight up steroids gymbro population was in full force. We’re fit gym people but look more for good hygene, open minded & intelligent playmates than six packs or perfect makeup & big tits. We did enjoy meeting people, chatting & being social with lots of non lifestyle folks.
We like to have a drink but we aren’t into getting hammered, especially if we want to play. Being present and performing well is important to us. This scene was very much into heavy drinking. The late night party after the show was heavy on people close to blackout drunk and included a lot of horny single men who didn’t know you should ask before touching. My wife got cornered and kissed on her way back from the bathroom. She played it off- “he just didn’t know better” but I was not happy about it. Not in a jealous way more like there was not enough security and if we stayed up there I’d end up fighting someone. It did not feel safe or fun. I had multiple super drunk dudes come ask me if they could fuck my wife too. No thanks. We went back to the room.
The waitstaff and maid service was amazing. But the majority of the energy spent on us there was in attempts to get us to upgrade or spend more money. They fast talked us into signing up for a sales pitch when we got there- “give me $30 and we’ll give you back $20 with a champagne breakfast and one day access to the roofdeck”. Ok. So the next morning no breakfast, we worked out and did the buffet then hung around the lobby for our tour guide guy to find so we could do the sales pitch thing. 45 mins and no one approached us for our 9:30 appointment for the pitch.
Around 1:00 we saw our guy and told him- “really? No one called your room or approached you? So sorry we can do it now”. He handed us off to the sales lady who took us to the buffet for coffee and started asking us questions we didn’t want to answer. We weren’t at party paradise to talk about our kids. After a few minutes we said look your guy fast talked us into this meeting, we feel jerked around and don’t want to spend any more money or sign up for any packages. She had me write that down and sign it then took me upstairs to talk to her boss who was rude and said if I didn’t want to buy packages we could not have the roofdeck access or other benefits. OK sure. I saw the tour guy later and he asked if we were alright that they told him the wife & I were fighting haha nope we were on the same page I think the girl just had to explain to her boss why she didn’t make a sale.
All in all it was relaxing but the scene leaned too hard toward people that wanted to get drunk before hooking up, or just a nightclub chaos scene for vanilla people who think seeing boobs is a crazy libertine experience. It was fine but we won’t be going back.
