Update: after trying this sleeve out a few times since this post, I've realized a few things. This ended up having more of a "chambering" effect than a material-to-skin texture change when installed in the receiver. To my surprise, although this effect was very subtle, it was also very noticeable for me. It's moreso that I notice the effect it has, rather than feel it directly, if that makes sense. Hard to describe. The travel feels smoother and it actually improved retention a good bit. I had to fiddle with the valves way less the last few times. This is enough of an enhancement that I will definitely modify my sleeves this way going forward.

OP: Turns out you can very easily shape different textures into the latex sleeves. I just sliced up one of the finger guards into slim rings, rolled them onto the sleeve, installed the sleeve, then used it a few times, let it sit overnight, and rolled them off. Seems like the possibilities here are endless.

I've mentioned here several times how specific scripts not meant for the VG2 specifically create movements I've never gotten out of the VG2 from native scripts (pre-made or custom). I think I've finally figured out why.

Using the VG2 recently, with a scripted video I haven't watched before, there was a moment where the receiver was moving downward in very short steps. Hard to describe, but let's say the receiver is starting at the top (sat high up on the penis). Instead of a single, slow, linear motion downward, it was more like: [1/10 down], [pause], [2/10 down], [pause], so on and so forth quickly.

I said in at least one other post that I noticed scripts from some particular scripters that I'm familiar with made the receiver have this unique motion at times that felt like, in the best way I can describe it, a "rolling" or "licking" motion. What I mean is that the receiver quickly travels one direction partially, then the opposite direction partially, usually repeats a number of times, then resumes longer strokes. That focused undulating motion absolutely ruins me. This is all without interacting with the valves, of course.

I've suspected that since almost all non-native scripts are made for other devices (probably The Handy), those devices have finer "stepping" control that those scripts are utilizing and the VG2 is "translating" in a unique way; or that scripters are programming motions in fractions of seconds, stopping and reversing or pausing and resuming the receiver movements at partial strokes by "interrupting" the movements before they can complete.

All theoretical, again. I don't know any scripters to ask about this, and I don't own any non-AB devices to do a side-by-side. I'm sure Brian would know the answer better than anyone, so hopefully he chimes in.

Note: about 90% of the scripted content I watch is PMV's. I think this is actually a better way to experience the aforementioned actions because they are repeated and uniform.

I don't think I've ever seen lube discussed here. This is the lube I've used for solo playtime for years with prostate massagers, automatic masturbators, hand, and now the VG2. This is a progress update for my personal setup here using the receiver config here.

The one major annoyance with my little custom station was that I found the gooseneck I wanted (extra long, locking swivel, etc), but the head that came with it required a bit of fuss to get the receiver attached securely and would need to be adjusted frequently. I finally got the motivation to measure the ball joint and find an appropriately sized replacement head.

The hold shape-wise is perfect, but it was a little weak in grip with some vertical sliding at higher speeds, so I attached a few small pieces of adhesive insulation foam I use for car audio installs and window drafts (a roll is only a few bucks). With this new claw and a few pieces of cheap adhesive foam, things have gotten much faster and easier to assemble and disassemble. This is the simple rapid load/unload solution I was looking for and I'm very happy with it. Just pop off the air tube and pop the receiver out of the holder. The receiver/holder are dead silent and don't budge an inch, even at full speed.

The replacement holder came in a pack of 3 for $8 and I already had the foam laying around, but a whole roll costs $4.

I don't expect anyone to be trying to recreate my setup 1:1, I'm just throwing this out there to give others an idea of what's possible.

Ignore the terrible state of my receiver config. I got a bad tear in the latex and just decided to use the undamaged length even though it can't stretch completely over the x-tight seal. Less enjoyable and not ingress-proof, but I couldn't bear to just chuck the rest of the sleeve.

Editing to update: I think I've used this setup about 5 more times since I made this post and it's still fantastic. For the first time, I don't really have any interest in modding the receiver anymore.

I've been trying all kinds of "creative" ways to combine and modify the receiver material/accessory configuration recently, and I just found the winner hands down (cocks out)?

It's the X-Tight Vacuum Seal with the latex sleeve over it, pulled super taut below the seal as to hold it in place securely and maintain uniformity of the sleeve shape after passing through the hole. I'm using the 2" size latex in the medium receiver for reference. This does require cutting your latex a couple inches longer than usual, because you're pulling it further down and over the seal.

If you're like me and some others here, the X-Tight Vacuum Seal was too tight, pinchy, tacky when dry and too slippery when wet - not a good time, which was attempting to tackle a problem that (in my opinion) the finger guards did a much better job of solving (and subsequently the extended versions that AB offers now). But with the latex sleeve completely covering and passing through it, it's much, MUCH smoother and performs better than either the X-Tight Vacuum Seal alone, or the finger guards. I think what's happening sensorily is it's somewhat mimicking the internal ring of muscle in a vagina or throat, then things being softer and more malleable beyond that. It's hard to see in the photos, but it's pulled inward by the latex, so the tighter "ring" portion is recessed about 1". It also functions as a bit of a gentle cock ring.

But the number one thing this setup did for me was apply smooth and even pressure to the frenulum once fully inserted, which has been my single biggest issue with the receiver and sleeves. When I tell you I have stressed, lamented, and sat here brainstorming a way to incorporate that sensation... It just made me bust twice back to back in ~10 minutes per load while watching PMV's with aggressive scripting because that stimulation I require was present. Note: We all have varying anatomy and preferences, so I don't know how much any of this will matter or apply to you personally. I don't actually even know how it's applying that frenulum pressure beyond the entrance, I just know that it is and it never was before.

I think I'm developing feelings for my VG2 after discovering this setup. Has anyone else tried it?

On the topic of PMV's: I've found very few that really make use of the VG2 in a way that stands out, but most videos from 'younghung' on FapTap are amazing. I'm sure they didn't script the videos specifically for the VG2, and as such they don't actuate the valves, but the way the movements translate is crazily more effective than 99% of other scripts I've tried (which is dozens and dozens at this point). Shoutout to them for making the VG2 move like that, it's straight up black magic I tell you. Their scripts make the sleeve feel like it's rolling and licking you, I'm not kidding.

I'm far from the first one to set things up this way, but I just wanted to add my concurrence to this being the way. AB latex sleeve with 1/4 twist + finger sleeve cap. The smoothness is unreal.

Reporting back to confirm that the 2" latex sleeves are smack between the small and medium silicone sleeves. In the first photo, I am pressing them all flat. The latex has a texture compared to the silicone sleeves, like a very, very fine and soft powder coating finish (obviously it is not literally powder coated like metal). I'm thinking this subtle texture will be a good thing, both for lube retention and stimulation. I'll post about my personal feelings between the two later, after some experimentation.

I do have one question though. How are we supposed to get "at least 4 usable sections" from the length of latex we receive when there's just barely enough to cut 3 sections for the smallest receiver?

This is a long post, but I think the information here may be very helpful to some people.

I've come to realize that while the middle size stock liner is nice and comfy for me, the small size liner squeezes the head in just the right way to get a little frenulum traction, which is too important of a stimulation point for me to go without. Problem is, not only is it tough/impossible to get completely inserted into the small sleeve, but it goes rocketing off and the receiver initiates a boxing match with my cock when I swell up and blow a load. I'll trade off not being able to fully insert for actually being able to cum because my major stim spot is getting attention. This setup is responsible for my first truly hands-free use of the VG2, including cumming. I knew that this machine had great potential, it was just a matter of identifying and solving the problem areas of the stock setup for myself personally. Those brain-melting orgasms have shown me the promised land.

A note on latex liner sizing: I tried to find anyone confirming for certain what sizes equate to which silicone sizes, but found no concrete answer. Per my measurements, the 2 inch sleeves should fit right in-between the small and medium stock liners, and the latex should stretch with a lot less resistance, meaning it should in theory be a pleasantly slightly tight medium. I can confirm whenever I get my order in.

Edit: After doing a little receiver and sleeve experimentation and cleaning, I've decided there needs to be some sort of quick attach/release mechanism from the arm. My first thought is a gun magnet, but I don't think that would attach well to the plastic receiver, or without damaging it. If anyone has an idea for this, please throw it out there.

Also adding a use note: The stroke length button is critical with this setup. The stroke distance is very diminished due to the receiver fighting heavy resistance from the rigidity of the gooseneck in both directions. You can still get a decent stroke length, but I reckon you'd have to get used to dialing it in a little more aggressively. If you prefer a shorter stroke length (like me), this is actually another bonus.
