I have noticed gay men tend to have a higher circumcision rate in countries where it is not the norm. Do you agree? Why do you think this is so?

Last week I went to a nude gay beach in Sitges (Barcelona) and I was so surprised to notice that about 40% of men were circumcised. I wonder whether circumcision is becoming more popular in Europe, especially among gay men.
