M43 Therapy session gone wrong
You have been attending therapy for years to manage your anxiety disorder. Once a week, you head to your therapist’s office, and together you discuss the issues weighing on your mind. Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes. Today, the time has come once again. You set off in your car and drive toward the practice. It is a beautiful, sunny day; you have dressed up nicely and are wearing a light, airy dress. Filled with anticipation, you make your way into the office and take a seat in the waiting room. You like your therapist—in fact, you find him attractive—but you have never had the courage to say anything about it. He is married, which is likely the reason you have always hesitated. A short while later, he calls you into his consulting room; you take your usual seat on the couch—feeling completely weak in the knees. You begin discussing your issues. But today, something is different. He suggests that you begin a course of hypnotherapy. You feel a bit confused, but you agree. You lie back on the couch, making yourself comfortable, and slowly drift into a trance as he begins the treatment. It feels like an eternity has passed; somehow, nothing seems to be happening, so you open your eyes again. Everything feels strange somehow; you cannot move, cannot utter a single word—you are completely paralyzed. Then your therapist appears; he stands before you with a smile and slowly slides your dress up... DM's are open
