Updated Rules and moderation - July 2026

Mods have been working on updating the rules and trying to develop AI moderation that catches behaviors spam/scam bots often engage in. (mainly canvasing communities and trying to take you off reddit.) The current human friendly rules are always in the sidebar on a desktop or under "see more" on mobile. The current set is copied below for easy reading. Each rule has a link to a wiki page which should be easy to understand and be fully transparent on the prompting logic an AI is given to evaluative enforcement of that rule.

Spam is fundamentally a cost problem. Scam bots can scatter shot thousands of posts and if they get a few suckers that give up $5 to $20 they've made a day's wages in some parts of the world. These rules try to make posting in FloridaHookups more expensive if you're a scam bot.

This version of the rules is now giving 99% accuracy when compared with human reviews. For a long time we were getting about 95% AI to human alignment. That said I'm sure future posts will make mistakes and AI, and humans, make mistakes. If the mistake happens to you it will feel like a lot more than a rare mistake. Politely message the mods and we will try to fix it.

Reddit Mods don't get paid. Be kind. We want a healthy and functioning community.

While some of the rules mention temporary bans, the mod-bot isn't temp banning until more extensive testing.

FloridaHookups Rules

  1. Clean Titles - Age + Gender Code + Location, Nothing Else Your title is exactly three things: age, gender code, and a recognized Florida city or county, like "28 M4F Miami Beach". Nothing else may appear in the title. Non-compliant titles are removed so you can fix and repost - no ban. See wiki for more

  2. Image Requirements Every post is a single non-animated Reddit-hosted image of yourself. NSFW images are permitted. No text, handles, Snapchat codes, or promotional content in the image. Violations result in a permanent ban. See wiki for more

  3. Florida-Based Posts and Profiles Only This community connects people in Florida for real-life meetups. Your post and profile history must show a genuine Florida presence; accounts clearly rooted elsewhere are removed. Message the mods if you believe this was applied in error. See wiki for more

  4. Account Authenticity - Your History Must Match Your Post Be who you say you are. Posts are checked against the account's own history - language, stated gender, location, and posting pattern. When two or more contradict the post (e.g. years of history as a man abroad, now posting as a local woman), the post is held for a human moderator. Never an automatic removal or ban. Spam is fundamentally a cost problem. Scam bots can scatter shot thousands of posts and if they get a few suckers that give up $5 to $20 they've made a day's wages in some parts of the world. These rules try to make posting in FloridaR4R more expensive if you're a scam bot.

FloridaR4R Rules

  1. Searchable Titles - Age + Gender Code + Location Start your title with age, an R4R gender code, and your Florida city or county, like "28 M4F Orlando". Anything after that is up to you. People search by these - a searchable title reaches the people near you. Titles missing a required part are removed so you can fix and repost - no ban, no strike. See Searchable Titles wiki for more
  2. Keep Contact on Reddit - No Off-Platform Handles All contact starts on Reddit. Do not post or request handles, phone numbers, or emails for Snapchat, Discord, Telegram, or any other platform. "DM me" is fine - it means Reddit. Profile bios and history are checked. Posts are removed; repeat or egregious violations, or a handle in your bio, earn a 3-day ban. See Keep Contact on Reddit wiki for more
  3. Personal Meetups Only - No Transactions This community is for free, real-life meetups only. No payment, gifts, sugar arrangements, OnlyFans/Fansly promotion, or content sales. Transactional history anywhere on Reddit earns a 3-day ban even when your post here is clean; blatant or repeated selling here earns a 7-day ban. See Personal Meetups Only wiki for more
  4. Post Where You Really Are - No Same-Day Distant-City Posting Post for the one area where you really are. Same-day posts targeting R4R regions more than ~1-2 hours' drive apart are removed - nobody can meet in two distant cities at once. FloridaR4R plus your nearby city sub is fine. Traveling? Include dates and post only for where you're headed. A sustained pattern earns a 7-day ban. See Post Where You Really Are wiki for more
  5. Wait 24 Hours Between Posts - No Delete-and-Repost Tricks One active post at a time; wait 24 hours between posts here. Fewer, better posts beat fleeting reposts. Posting again too soon removes the new post; under 12 hours it also earns a 1-day ban. To fix a mistake, delete and repost once within 20 minutes. Deleting to bump visibility is a violation. A removal under this rule does not extend your wait. See Wait 24 Hours wiki for more
