Hi - does anyone use the fenrir clamp for compression hanging? Feels a bit risky since it's 360 degree pressure on the shaft but currently only hanging 3lb. Anyone tried this successfully?

Is there any reason my pumped length is 0.6in shorter in the tube today than most other days? Usually I get 7.1-7.2in pumped length (even had that yesterday), but today was 6.5in at the same pressures with the same routine and same setup.
Weirdly I had a long girthy flaccid yesterday but suddenly turtles late last night, then had this pumping issue this morning
Can anyone help me explain?
longtime lurker and currently 1 month into PE:
starting BPEL is 6.5in
starting BPEG is 4.4in
flaccid girth is tiny I haven't bothered measuring it
I've eased into PE with only interval pumping for the past month (2min x 5 sets at up to 9inhg). I'm trying to decide on the minimum effective routine to max out newbie gains. Attempt at a good beginner routine with more girth emphasis to help me max out newbie gains:
AM:
- compression hanging with fenrir clamp (5min x 4 sets, 3.5lb to start)
- interval pumping (2min x 10 sets, 8-10inhg)
PM:
- low intensity static pumping (5min x 2 sets, 5inhg)
- fenrir clamp (3min x 3 sets)
I've had a very hard time with vacuum extenders since i can't get the vaccuum cup to stay on (I guess my girth is too small). Since I just bought a fenrir, I was planning to use that for hanging.
Veterans, would love your help. Is this routine an effective beginner routine or should I do anything differently?
