About me:
45, SWM, 5'7", disease-free (tested), dad bod (XL shirt, 38 waist) but very healthy and exercise regularly. I have an excellent education (Ph.D.), love comedy and wit (more Canadian/British in style), am an avid reader, NPR listener, and music and musical theater connoisseur. I am very affectionate, sensual, and have an expressive personality that is best described as eccentric. I am also a service-oriented switch, but tend to adjust my dynamic to my partner's personality. I am monogamous, homeowner, with no debt.
What do I do for fun?
I enjoy antiquing, going to book stores, hiking, and just randomly driving places to see what I discover. I play saxophone and piano, sing, attend and perform in local improv comedy jams, do crossword puzzles, take my dog to the park, play video games, and enjoy experimenting in the kitchen. I also enjoy discussing philosophy and am trained in analytical psychology (Jungian and Lacanian). In terms of live entertainment, the next two shows I will be seeing are David Sedaris and Beetlejuice the Musical.
What I am looking for:
I am looking for a LTR that will hopefully lead to marriage with somebody who is intelligent, shares a similar sense of humor, and actually wants a partner who is their equal rather than an accessory in their life. I prefer a woman who is very sensual but does not take life too seriously (e.g., let's get dressed up, go to a nice dinner, then check out a Burlesque/Vaudeville show, and continue the show when we get home). I am also looking for somebody who enjoys traveling. I am open to ages 30 to 50, disease-free. No drugs, social drinking is fine.
