When we got together I was also very promiscuous and did ‘well’ for myself I guess you’d say. Early into dating her I got a message from someone on instagram telling me he’d slept with her and he didn’t know she was in a relationship.

She came over to mine in the early hours of the morning to try make up with me and eventually we did and I accepted it for what it was.

Turns out he wasn’t the only one and I kept seeing guys pop up on her phone etc but didn’t want to confront her.

Long story short she pretty much stopped hiding it from me and began sending pictures of her in random beds most weekends only to come back to mine in the morning and be a wreck. We dated for nearly a year and despite feeling humiliated at first I began quite enjoying the thought of her with other guys and she would tell me all about them and do some other pretty wild things.

When we started dating it was purely monogamous, however after 3 months ish she brought up the idea of seeing other people strictly for fun and no more. I was a little hesitant but as we’re both young and were rather promiscuous prior to dating each other, I agreed.

We set a few ground rules: no one that we knew prior to dating each other, only see a person once, be transparent about everything with each other etc.

We both had tinder accounts that each other could go on and set up both of our first meets. Whilst in the moment I enjoyed it, I didn’t feel a huge desire to see other woman regularly. She on the other hand took a strong liking to it.

To cut a long story short, the guy she left me for I knew about but she’d told me they had only been together once and it was quite a while before she left me.

Hurt a lot at the time (November last year) but in the long run perhaps I dodged a bullet! AMA
