The Pa'an are a insect like species, hailing from Wolf1061-2. Most life on their planet only communicates via the electromagnetic spectrum, mostly in low frequency radio communications.

The pa'an however communicate in low voltage electric pulses, spread through their planets moist atmosphere.

Sight however is don't through an array of infrared and visual sensing organs across their body. The primary infrared sensing organs being a pair of "ears" atop the Pa'an's head.
