Following several posts in the last few days, I've been mulling over a thought: how we, as a group, should treat people who show various signs of being an "egg."

I know we're all bothered by the use of words like "sissy" or "femboy," myself included. But before jumping down their throats, perhaps we should ask ourselves what's leading this particular person to use them to refer to themselves.

Personally, I think some people might use these terms as a kind of "compromise" between society's expectations of them being men and their repressed desires to be women.

Oh my god, you’re not gonna believe the dream I had the other night (right after another lovely sleep paralysis episode, of course). So I had this tiny moth as a pet (don’t ask). In a moment of distraction, my beloved little moth escaped my toxic love and flew into the hallway.

Hi everyone… I know you came here hoping for my dark bedroom secret. What I do when no one is watching. I won’t disappoint you. Here it is:

I suffer from… sleep paralysis. It doesn’t happen every night, but when it does… it’s terrifying. I wake up unable to move, with this crushing pressure on my chest like something is sitting on me. I try to scream, to move even a finger, but nothing works. Sometimes I see myself, barely getting out of bed, falling all over the room only to realize a few seconds later that I'm still asleep and paralyzed.

Sometimes I “see” a dark figure standing right next to my bed, just watching me. One time I even felt it lean down and sink its fangs into my neck… like a vampire. How terrifying! I could feel the bite. When I finally woke up, I was shaking and crying. So yeah… that’s my dirty little secret.
