As a Yuri on Ice fan, I started watching popular gay romance like Sasaki to Miyano and Given. I was trying to find community that I can talk my gay romance anime about. Majority of spaces that are passionate about talking gay romance are just actively discussing hardcore gay porn drawn in Korea and sometimes from Japan but doesn't happen.

Are most fujoshi here not interested in actual gay romance like Sasamiya, Given and Yuri on Ice? I checked most 70 to 80 percent of all gay works in Myanimelist happens to be gay smut

Even as a gay dude, this argument kinda makes no sense. If a straight man watches lesbian porn, he just wants to engage FFM threesome with two women and that's why it is kind of considered fetishizing lesbians.

None of the fujoshis or any woman wants to engage MMF threesome with bl dudes for that matter. For them, it is like worst nightmare and most of them would sit cuck chair rather be an active participant.

You make an argument that some of these women are projecting gender roles onto gay relationships but that's entirely different discussion. I just feel like fetishization word has just lost its meaning

If anything, one of the biggest criticisms aimed at BL as a genre of gay romance has always been lack of acknowledge of sexual orientation of the characters in the story. Most don't identify themselves either 'gay' or 'bi'.

From my observation, most BL fans also don't care about it about unless they are fighting someone who ships these dudes with women.

I'm sorry for asking pretty rude question for my BL fans here. I just want to now how you guys respond and perceive sex scenes in BL
