The closest organism that the Kerneovan body plan resembles is that of the centipede, but their reproduction is most similar to damsel flies. The reproductive organs are at the far ends of their bodies and connect during mating. Kerneovans are equipped with “claws” that connect and interlock with their partner, with males having much larger grippers than females.
