The Art of Shibari 🪢
People often see Shibari as ropes, knots, and beautiful patterns.
What they don’t always see is what it has done for me internally.
Shibari taught me how to regulate my emotions by bringing me back to the present moment.
Every wrap, every breath, every sensation requires focus. It became a form of meditation. quieting the noise in my mind and teaching me to stay grounded.
It also helped me confront something I never thought I could: my claustrophobia.
Through patience, practice, and trust, I learned how to sit with discomfort instead of running from it.
What once triggered fear slowly became an opportunity for growth.
As a submissive, Shibari deepened my understanding of trust and surrender. Not as weakness, but as a conscious choice. It taught me the strength it takes to be vulnerable, to communicate openly and to place trust in another while remaining connected to myself.
For me, Shibari is more than an art form.
It is meditation.
It is healing.
It is trust.
It is surrender.
And it is one of the ways I continue to grow.
