We’re getting together for another Saturday evening banya as summer starts winding down.

The fire will be going by early evening, and we’ll run from 6:30–10p with the usual rhythm:

hot rounds, cool-downs, cold plunge, venik, conversation, and plenty of time to relax between rounds.

This is a naturist event in a private backyard banya. The atmosphere is relaxed, respectful, non-sexual, and focused on enjoying traditional sauna and banya culture.

First-timers are welcome. You don’t need any previous sauna or naturist experience, but please understand the setting before reaching out.

Bring:

• Water
• Robe, wrap, or something easy to throw on during cooldowns...until the sun goes down
• Sandals or easy slip-on shoes
• Light snack if you want one

Best not to eat a heavy meal right before sauna.

Parking is on the street. Come through the gate at the end of the driveway, then head down the hill to the banya.

Summer Evening Banya to avoid the hot Summer days...

Our next Southside Sauna Club meetup will be Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM here in McDonough, GA.

If you’ve been following the group for a while but haven’t joined us yet, consider this your invitation. A lot of folks watch from the sidelines for a bit before deciding to come out, and that’s completely normal. If you’ve been curious about the banya experience, the group, or social naturism in a relaxed and respectful setting, this would be a great night to join us.

As always, the vibe is simple:

This is a private backyard banya gathering with a friendly, respectful, non-sexual naturist atmosphere. No prior sauna or banya experience is needed, and first-timers are always welcome.

A few basics:

• Please bring a towel to sit on
• Bring water
• Sandals or slip-on shoes are helpful
• A robe or wrap is nice for cooldown periods, especially before dark or if neighbors are about
• If you’d like, bring a light snack to share
• It’s best to avoid a heavy meal right before sauna

Thursday Couples’ Banya — A Few Spots Available

A M/F couple will be joining us for banya this Thursday, June 25th from 7–10 p.m., and I may have room for one or two additional couples.

I often hear from couples who are interested in visiting, but the woman would feel more comfortable knowing she won’t be the only female attending. Since another couple is already confirmed, Thursday would be a particularly good evening for a first visit.

You’re also welcome to reach out if you’ve attended before and would simply like to come back out.

Took these pics before everybody arrived tonight.

We had a good turn out...3 new guys.

None had ever done anything like a russian Banya before.

And parenie massage with fresh cut venik is a "must do" experience.

A number of folks said they wanted to come but couldn't make it in time after work and would rather do a weekend sauna.

So I'm thinking about holding another "first-timers" sauna next Saturday June 6th.

This Thursday will be a first-timers only sauna night.

I’m keeping this one small — no more than 4 guests — so it’s a comfortable, low-pressure way for people to try a naturist sauna setting for the first time.

This is especially for folks who may already be comfortable with home nudity or private naturism, but have been wanting to try something social with other nudists and aren’t ready for a larger group setting like a K-spa, resort, or big public event.

Same basic idea:
hot sauna rounds, cold plunges, conversation, and an easy after-work reset.

No experience needed. You can go at your own pace, step out whenever you need to, cool down as often as you want, and ask questions. Nobody is expected to “perform,” keep up, or already know how this works.

Important note:
This is a naturist, non-sexual environment. Respectful, friendly, low-key behavior is required. Explicit profiles, sexual behavior, cruising energy, or anything that makes the space uncomfortable is not a fit for this group.

What to bring:
Bring a towel, water, and a wrap or robe for sitting outside between rounds, especially before the sun goes down. Try not to eat a heavy meal right before coming.

Where to go:
Park on the street, come through the gate at the end of the driveway, then head down the hill to the banya.

Sorry Folks, I didn't realize that I booked the Thursday Night Banya on the same night as a family birthday dinner.

Moving it to:

🕕 Starting the sauna fire at 6p and will be ready to sweat by 6:30 PM
🕙 Go until we’re done (usually ~9:30ish)
