Welp, I goofed and trusted the reddit app when it said it copied the text of my original post to clipboard before I deleted it, but all it copied was the title so let's try this again.

I managed to keep a cath in for 6.5hrs the other day, which is the longest I've lasted since I've been using them (recreationally). Hello all! Late 30s gay kinkster who recently discovered I thoroughly enjoy cathing myself. Been working my size and skills up (at a 24fr currently) over the last year or so, but just discovered this (very addictive) subreddit a month ago and was hoping some of you could help with give some advice on which lube to use or if I'm doing something wrong.

I'm only about 3-4" hard at best and retract inside to about -0.5" soft (SPH DMs encouraged 😈), and basic surgilube seems to dry out fairly quickly. If I was a show-er that would probably be fine, but as a grower my fossa tends to get glued to a specific spot on the cath within just a few minutes of insertion and refuses to move without a bunch of incremental re-lubing.

At best it dries out while I'm soft and just causes my shaft to get bunched up like I'm wearing a flat chastity cage, but sometimes it can actually get erect enough to start pulling down on the balloon in the bladder which is uncomfy. If the lube dries while I'm still erect, it can also cause the balloon to rise in the bladder when I do get soft and cause blow-by leaks around the cath (more of a problem with ~18fr).

I did a quick search and didn't see anyone asking about this here, so do y'all have any suggestions - either of a different lube to try or something to do differently? I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the comments for the next few days as I'm hoping to restock soon once I have an idea what to get and where. Thanks in advance!!
