Make your own period pads lookalikes, no hunt needed
You dont really need to hunt for pads if you only care for the color and the smell. Just get a dropper, fill it with beetroot juice and drip on the pad. Then wear it to get it sweaty/let your pee drops fall onto it and add a cum load into it, so acid reacts with base. The smell will be very similar, with earthy beetroot juice smell and body fluids.
