[LFG][PBP][DND 5e][FGM4A] The Pale Hand

Fensiria is a hollow reflection of its former glory. Monsters dominate the wilds. Mercenary companies, slavers, and swindlers rule the cities and economy. Buildings are rundown. Slums run rampant, many turning to crime to feed themselves or families. Surviving in this frostland will be hard. Always has been. But you'll survive, so long as you remember the key principles.

Obey no god.

Strength dictates law.

Death is kindness.

May the Pale Hand birth Misira anew.

Welcome

Hello! I’m looking for a group who’ll become bounty hunters in a world shrouded in darkness. I’ve been DMing for quite a few years. Newer on the side of PBP/ERP but learning fast (as I’ve been writing since early childhood). I’m looking for dedicated people willing to reciprocate the excitement that I’m putting into this campaign!

Fensiria

"Mother, mother!" Falas said. "Why is Fensiria so cold?"

Because," she responded. "It is the only land on Misria untouched by the light of our gods."

Fensiria is a dark fantasy, low-magic setting where might dictates right. Strong dominate the weak on all levels. The land isn't ruled by a massive kingdom, but a handful of small independent territories. Border conflicts are aplenty. War seems like an inevitability. Religion is a taboo subject, with the majority of cultures having rejected the deities once they fell from the heavens. They are no different from man, now.

Game Details

Here, you’ll be bounty hunters. Perhaps a morally ambiguous bunch, but you’ll be hunting the far worse scum that now populate this once-holy land in abundance. Vigilantes who get paid. What’s not to love? Another factor is general survival and the problems that pop up by living in this harsh society’s. Plus, the complicated relationships that fester with the people around you.

This campaign is story-driven and roleplay focused. Combat serves to further/continue the narrative. I'll be creating a small group of 2-3 as I haven't seen success in PbP games with more than that.

I'm searching for players...

  • Willing to invest in a story/characters/world that goes beyond ERP.
  • Consistent and communicative.

Joining

I hate how formal the terminology 'application' feels, but it's easier for me to ask the questions here than individually in DM's (to everyone... all at once...). Don't stress about answering 'correctly.' No right answers. I'm looking for people that are compatible with myself and each other. If you could include in your message...

  • Age / Timezone
  • Post Frequency / Length
  • Kinks/Limits
  • Character Concept (If You Have One)
  • A past character wakes up to the room on fire. What do they do?

Who doesn’t love playing the role of hero? Loved by the people, immortalized in songs, and idolized by the next generation of adventurers. But what of the villains? Have you never had the urge to be, not the source of the people’s gratitude, but their fear? To be the one whispered about around campfires. The one that even the mightiest heroes tremble at the thought of? Has that urge to abandon your heroic aspiration and dive into the mud ever hit you?

Here, you’ll be able to indulge in that wish. In this campaign you’ll finally unleash those dark desires and become whatever flavor of evil you desire (though preferably one with goals, motivations, and a character beyond ‘evil without purpose’). You’ve been contacted by an anonymous patron to aid in conquering the beautiful city of Sunveil. That’s the starting premise, but I’m leaving it really flexible so we can discuss a bit more together.

Campaign Information
• Intended as a 1x1 but open to a duo/trio game if people with compatible tastes are interested.

• Game will be story/character driven. Smut is an extension of said narrative, not the entire game. If I had to assign a ratio, it’d be \~70/30 (roleplay/smut). Please be okay with this preference and interested in creating a collaborative story before reaching out!

• We will follow an async style of play, but I’d like players who can post at least once (ideally a couple of times) per day. This is especially true if it ends up being a group game, as those can loose momentum a bit quicker. In terms of post length I highly prefer something flexible. Don’t feel like you have to hit a word limit. Some situations call for a more descriptive response, some for a quicker one.

• Expect dark fantasy. Not the comically edgy kind. But a gloomier atmosphere, desperate people at wits end, corruption, and that good stuff.

• Important! I am relatively new to erp (though not writing in general) so it’ll take a bit of adjusting for me. Bear with me on that, hehe.

Something fun about this campaign is the meta-aspect of it. This city and the NPCs within have actually been in a previous (sfw) campaign of mine that lasted a decent bit. Something about having a more villainous player come forth to reshape my precious work as they see fit… Well it does something for me. I do have a rather submissive leaning. And while it’s kind of niche, feeling like you don’t have power despite being the DM is quite exquisite. Anyhow, that’s just a fun little bonus.

Send a message if you’re interested! This is not required but it’d be helpful to have certain details upfront like: kinks/limits, age (I prefer playing with partners close to my own), and if you have any ideas related to the plot or a character. Thanks for reading! Stay sexy.
