New Scam Alert – Heads Up, Everyone

Just spotted a fresh twist on the classic "send me money" scam that I haven't seen before in our group.

It's the same old "I need gas money / condom money / milk for the kid" routine, but packaged in a more casual, flirty way to make it seem less obvious.

If you see this pattern:

They match/chat, things heat up fast

Suddenly they need a small "favor" for gas, protection, food, etc. before meeting

Any pressure to send money, gift cards, Cash App, etc. RUN. Don't engage. Block and report immediately.

These are almost always romance/scam bots or pros targeting hookup groups. Real people don't hit you up for $20-50 right before a meetup.

Stay safe out there – verify, meet in public, and never send money to someone you've only chatted with online.

If you've seen this exact script or variations, drop examples below (without doxxing) so we can all spot it faster.

Idea: Group Events Aimed at Hooking Up?

As your mod, I’ve been thinking of an idea to take the group to the next level.

What do you all think about organizing occasional scheduled group events at a local spot (bar, lounge, club, etc.) with the clear intention of people meeting up and potentially hooking up?

We’d aim to keep the ratio as close to even as possible between men and women to avoid it turning into a total sausage fest. I’d probably cap RSVPs or use a quick approval process to help balance the numbers.

We could start simple — maybe once every couple month on a weekend evening. Everyone would meet in a chill public spot first, with the option to leave together or head elsewhere if the vibe is right. I’d share basic ground rules beforehand (be respectful, no pressure, consent is everything, etc.) to keep things safe and fun for everyone.

If you’re into this idea, or have suggestions on how to make it work well (location ideas, timing, verification methods, rules, etc.), drop a comment below, or share any other ideas to improve the group community.

Ladies: If you’re interested, just message me directly and let me know — I only need to hear that you’re interested (and any ideas you might have). This way you won’t get flooded with messages, and I’ll keep things low-pressure and respectful.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Tips for Actually Meeting Real People on Reddit

Hey everyone,

I'm not some dating expert or anything, but I've successfully met a few real cool people off here and other subreddit by following the tips below.

Dating/hookup/meeting subs on Reddit can actually work, but a lot of guys are doing it completely wrong and getting frustrated.

  1. Check the profile FIRST If there's a link in bio, OnlyFans, Telegram, Snapchat premium, or any "add me here" stuff → 99% chance it's a bot, scammer, or promo account.

Real women almost never put links or push external apps right away. If the profile is brand new, has zero comment history, or only posts in NSFW subs with the same pics, just move on.

  1. Most real girls are lurkers, not posters

This is the biggest thing a lot of guys don't understand. The second a real girl makes a post saying what she's looking for, she gets flooded — often 30-50+ messages in the first hour, even if she clearly states her preferences.

A lot of those messages completely ignore what she wrote. It gets overwhelming fast, so many real women just lurk and message the guys they like instead of posting themselves.

That means:

-Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see many women posting

-Put effort into your own profile and post so you stand out

-Be patient and actually read what people write

  1. Quick tips that actually help:

Have a decent, active profile with some personality (not just blank profile. Not just a cock pic either, Don’t look desperate.

Read the full post before messaging — “Hey” or copy-paste spam gets ignored

Be specific and show you actually read their post

Don’t rush straight to Telegram/Discord. Build a little rapport on Reddit first

Location and verification matter. Serious people will usually verify they’re real

  1. Safety Tips – Protect Yourself (Very Important)

When things move off Reddit, stay smart:

-Use a burner number — Apps like Google Voice, TextNow, or Burner are great. Never give out your real phone number early untill you are sure they are real.

-Create a new email just for this (Gmail account is easy and free).

-First meet in public — Coffee shop, restaurant, mall, or park during daylight. Tell a friend where you’re going and when you expect to be back.

-Don’t send money/gifts — If they start asking for money, gifts, gas or “help getting there,” it’s almost always a scam.

-Trust your gut — If something feels off, it probably is. Slow down or walk away.

The platform is full of bots and promoters right now, but there are still real people here looking to connect. It just takes filtering out the noise and putting in a bit more effort.

Anyone else have solid tips that have worked for meeting real people here? Drop them below.

Stay safe and good luck out there! 👍

We Just Hit 6,000 Members! Looking for a Dedicated New Mod to Help Run This Hookup Group

Big milestone today — our community just reached 6,000 members! Thank you to everyone who’s helped us grow.

That said, like most hookup communities, we’re getting hit hard with bots, scammers, fake accounts, and spam. As the only active moderator right now, I’m doing my best to keep the group clean, but it’s turning into a full-time job. I want to keep this a fun, safe, and genuine space for real people to connect — not another group ruined by fakes.

I’m looking for one (or more) reliable new moderators to join me and help take the group to the next level.

What you’d help with:

-Actively removing bots, scammers, and low-quality content

-Approving/denying new member requests

-Enforcing the rules fairly and consistently

-Suggesting and helping implement improvements to the group (flairs, rules, events, verification, etc.)

-Keeping the community active and engaging for real members

How to apply:

-Send a direct message to the moderators with the following info:

-A little about yourself (age, general location, how long you’ve been on Reddit, and why you like this group)

-Any previous modding experience (or other relevant experience) and how much time you can realistically dedicate

-Your ideas for fighting bots/scammers more effectively and/or improving the overall quality and activity of the community

Serious applicants only please. I’m looking for someone active, mature, reliable, and genuinely invested in keeping this a good community.

If you’re interested and ready to help, shoot me a DM. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks again to all the real members — here’s to 7k and beyond!
