Reddit has said this subreddit should remain NSFW. We disagree, but to keep people from getting their accounts flagged, we're going to disable posting.

Reddit decided that this subreddit that contains SFW photos of people of color should be marked NSFW.

We do not want this to affect our posters and get their accounts marked NSFW so we are going to disable posting.

We will continue to protest this decision, and maybe we will get some action on it, but in the meantime posts will be limited.

Flagged NSFW

For some reason, Reddit has decided to flag this community NSFW. I have appealed the decision, and am asking for more guidance.

I'll provide more information as I get it.

We started putting r/FlawlessSelfies together just two weeks ago, and since opening the doors we’ve already seen days with more than 25,000 visitors. For perspective, r/GlassesGangSelfies, which launched two months ago, has topped out around 8,000 in a day, and r/SelfiesGoneMild, which has been around for six years, has reached about 7,000. Seeing that level of engagement here has been incredible. It shows there was a real need for a space where people of color can share their selfies and feel celebrated, and it has been amazing to watch the positivity and hype you bring to each other in the comments.

Thank you for being part of this community and helping it grow so quickly. As we continue to expand, we’ve opened Moderator Applications. I would love to bring in some of our regular posters because your experience on the other side of the camera is valuable to the team. No prior mod experience is needed, just a positive mindset, the ability to brush off negativity, and a genuine desire to help make this a welcoming space for everyone. Thank you again for being here and for helping shape what this subreddit is becoming.
