It's medical designation was ETH-24 but most people called it 'The Ethnic Flu'
It only seemed to affect white people, causing them to be transformed into different ethnicity.
At this stage, there was no known cure. The first symptoms presented very much like the common cold, but then there was a tingling sensation in the fingers and toes.
The transformation would change thier DNA and they'd undergo a physical and mental transformation, taking between a few days & a few weeks. At the end of it, the infected person would become completely totally changed.
There was also a desire in the infected person to be around people from the ethnicity they were going to become.
It did seem that those around the infected person could influence how they turned out, with them being suggestable and also even physical attributes being almost customised to what people expected them or wanted them to be like, even becoming physically older. So there was a lot of things like cultural changes, and even religious conversion.
There were different variants which meant you'd become a different ethnicity, 95% of people affected had the standard strains, but there were was a second less common strain which also caused the person to change gender as part of the transformation. In most of these cases the person would have a change in orientation becoming straight for according to their new gender.

I'm open to you being a similar age to me, or you can be older (up to mid-50s, and I'd undergo some age progression to be a similar age) and happy for you to play as any ethnicity (if you are playing as a different one to me, I'd ideally want to undergo an ethnic transformation too)
Ideally I'd like to become someone quite different from the old me, so things like ethnic changes, age progression, cultural, political, sub-culture changes are particulary intresting. So turning into a 24 year old white slighly nerdy or mainstream girl isn't as exciting.

It all felt like a very normal evening, I'd had a couple of beers and watched a movie on Netflix but now it was time for bed.
After getting ready I lay in bed trying to sleep when I heard a strange humming sound, it seemed to be coming from somewhere in my room, then a pinpoint of light appeared, the humming got louder and the pinpoint of light got bigger and bigger. Then I felt a pulling sensation and I was suddenly being lifted up and drawn towards the light which was now bigger and brighter, the sound was almost deafening. I screamed out for help but none would come and suddenly the light was enveloping me. What the hell was going on? I thought and then passed out.
The next thing I knew I seemed to be laying on the ground, I smelt the scent of a fresh woodland. I slowly opened my heavy eyes to see I was in some kind of forest and it seemed to be just after dawn. I was confused and sat up. Something was very strange, I had no idea what had happened to me.
I got up and walked for about 20 minutes, I had no idea where I was going and I was dressed just in my pyjamas which were a little damp from the morning dew.
Eventually I seemed to come to the edge of the woodland and I saw what looked like a road, well of sorts it seemed to be an old cobbled road which was little more than a dirt track. I followed it for a while figuring it would be something on a farm and I could use a phone to find out where the hell I was.
Then I heard a stamping of hooves coming from behind me, I realised it must have been some kind of horse riding path and I turned to get out of the way. I was confronted by a sight I could never have imagined. It was a horse, but it was huge, over 10 feet tall and riding it was some kind of elven looking creature over 8 feet tall.
"Mind out the the way human!" It shouted at me as it charged down the path.
I had no idea where I was, it seemed I had been pulled into some kind of world where mythical and magical creatures were real?
My character will be a 'regular' guy from our world, and fairly average looking who is sucked into some kind of magical fantasy world - it can be something where we define the world together as we RP.
There will also be an element where I am transformed to become a mythical creature that fits into this world, but also I'd under go a gender transformation to become a female of the mythical species. This would happen via some kind of magical plot device - spell, curse, magic object etc that we'd work out.
You'll play as a male of the species that I would be transforming into. A few ideas I had were - orcs, dragons, centaurs, werewolves, demons, driders, minotaurs, but I am open to other ideas too, they don't necessarily need to be humanoid.

You'll play as a chav guy, handsome, strong and masculine. Also with the same kind of vibes (but the male equivalent) as the girl I'll become.
In terms of things like age - I could get a little younger (21 at the youngest) or older (up to around 45) depending on how old you'd want your character to be - but I'd like us to be of a similar age.
In terms of how I change I am thinking it would be something of a magical or sci-fi basis so that my mind changes as well as how everyone percives me. I'm not sure if a body swap or a gradual change (as reality changes around me?) would be better, but this is something we can talk about whilst we're plotting what we'll do together.
My tastes and opinions would change too as my personality changes, I would also develop new kinks that are more in line with yours.
Eventually I will become her completely, I won't look or act anything like my original self, and I'll not really think of myself as Dan any more, I'll have a new name and identity and that is who I am, but most of all I am your girl.
