Is it possible to relapse while on suboxone? If so, what do you attribute the relapse to? In other words, why and how did it happen?

So my partner is on 16 mgs of suboxone daily . Is he cured of his powdered kratom addiction? Ten years of heavy use for pain (he said ). Only used 7oh once. Hahaha. No inpatient treatment whatsoever.

So my partner started suboxone 2 weeks ago. He said he feels great and his powdered kratom addiction of Ten plus years has been cured. He was abusing oxy and tramadol before discovering kratom. He swears he only tried 7 oh a couple times. He is on 8mg strips twice a day. Am I to trust this as a miracle drug? He originally started down this path due to back pain. He has never been able to taper or quit k in all these years. No behavioral/psych treatment is going to happen. Just suboxone for probably the rest of his life unless there is another drug to try.
