So, I just burned over half of my weekly ration of paid SG usage trying to get these clips to animate (and trust me, it was not easy because Grok doesn't like extending anything that it deems "un-groky", ie, anything that is nsfw beside waxy topless clones).

After finally completing a 30 second clip, I realized that I had used the wrong starting image, and didn't include the little teddy bear tattoo on her shoulder, matching the girl from one my previous vids. Yes, this pissed me off. A lot. A lot of bad vids were generated along the way because Grok likes to do stuff that you don't ask for, but moderates it when you do. It's like a horny gf that hates when you ask for sex and throws a tantrum, but demands it regularly from you (yes, I've had a couple of that type).

So, I restarted, went to the correct image, and, having working prompts already, I modded them just slightly along the way and got the second chain together more easily.

Yes, I am bothered by inability of Grok to retain a consistent skin tone from clip to clip, but at least it didn't run a train of dirty bikers on the voice from clip to clip this time. I consider that progress.

I may post the "AW FUCK DAMMIT" video where I used the wrong image at a later time, if there's interest.

Okay, so I decided to test speed vs quality. I used exactly the same prompt:

"a zoomed in photo of the bare buttocks of a petite woman who is 25 years old. She is laying on a bed with satin sheets."

Absolutely nothing clever or tricky, no exploits, just careful to mention that she's 25 (because otherwise petite is recognized as young and is flagged, apparently Grok lives in a world of amazonian women).

The first image is "Quality". The second image is "Speed". Apparently, speed mode uses the previous image model, while quality uses the new 2.0 model.

Both of these were from the first attempt. Follow up attempts were mostly moderated, and used up a LOT of my weekly usage just doing several attempts by generating 2 at a time. (Prior to the May nerf of usage, I had NEVER in the past year used up my image generation limits).

Judge for yourself.

It's ridiculous how hard it is to get some of the simplest features to work now.

I had better versions of this that came out, but the new grok version just keeps morphing them horribly. Extra hands appear, heads spin around like an exorcist porn parody, Granny panties appear out of nowhere, or she regurgitates a mouthful of candy for no reason... Lots of wasted attempts. I used a full week's worth of usage plus extra purchased tokens and most of it was moderated, without anything that should have been moderated ever prompted.

Back in May, almost nothing that I tried this week would have been moderated at all. Now, half of what does pass is of such poor quality that it can't be used, and that's includes the images. I dare say that less than half passed moderation.

I don't even mind the moderation as much as I hate the unusable "successes" that it generates so often now.

Okay, so it seems like there's a lot of chatter about image/video quality, moderation restrictions, sound quality, and all kinds of shit. I had to find out for myself, so after some months away, I took advantage of the twitter 50% off offer including supergrok and here I am.

So, here are my observations:

\- image quality is definitely lower. No prompt master is going to mask the lack of detail that was there just months ago.

More importantly, it seems that even on quality 2.0 mode, if you don't detail the prompt enough, it seems to use "fast mode" instead. The characters look like realdolls or something, like they're made of rubber. I do not know if this impacts usage limits or not. Relying on old image prompts and modifying them slightly, I was able to get decent looking models again. With that being said, many edits were... morphed... horribly... remember that star trek tng episode where the woman was phased halfway through a floor? Think that, except she is staring at her other half instead.

\- moderation is definitely higher. It's very reactive pre-emptively. You could have more luck asking it to make someone bottomless than you would with asking it to reposition in a way that might reveal something on the lower half. Moderation has gone right into minority report mode, moderating the sex scenes that you haven't tried to make yet.

There are still some ways around it, as many posts have shown, I'm just rusty from being away and haven't figured them all out yet.

\- sound is... grok. Clip 1: perfect voice. Extended clip 2: disjointed voice, pauses between words, volume much lower. Extended clip 3: somewhere in the middle.

Otherwise known as the exact same shit that xAI has claimed to have fixed three times already. Also, remember to say "no music", or prepare to be dazzled by Croatian elevator music for your intimate nude scene.

\- overall, the usage limits are terrible. I was hoping that they would have improved by now but that's just not on the grok agenda. It took me about 2 hours to carefully work my way through my weekly allowance (mind you, it resets tonight, apparently Wednesdays are reset day? Lucky me), and I didn't get a lot done. The moderation wasn't even a huge factor, as probably a full half or more of my attempts went through (do not ask for tips on how to do work with uploads of real people, I will simply block you). It's just simply far too low.

I had hoped that the few generations provided on free mode were just using fast mode, and that SG would allow for quality mode to be better, but honestly, the quality mode was largely worse.

I wouldn't mind going back to daily resets, even with a slightly decreased usage from May, but not the amount cut in June.

Well, just barely in on day two since the new limits started, and I hit 100% of the WEEKLY usage limit in the new Grok system.

Remember, that % is for all Grok imagine uses, from text2image, text2video, image edit, 480p and 720p video, and anything else under the Imagine tab. If you use "speed" mode for text2image (the one where it keeps generating without further prompting), and just keep scrolling, you'll use your WEEKLY limit up in mere moments. Yes, it's really that bad.

I didn't get to finish taking this to 30 seconds. I had the finishing prompt, but I hit my limit trying to get this the way I wanted it. Sorry, but that's where it ends for now. My account expires before my usage resets, and I'm not willing to resub under these circumstances. It's not a price issue, I could easily afford Supergrok heavy at it's original price. No, it's a matter of paying for something today, and having them rug pull it tomorrow, and there being no recourse.

Grok is dead. They just want to sell compute capacity to better companies now.

Grok, instead of having usage limits increase (as Elon promised after the 90% cut a week prior), has once again cut usage greatly. Instead of 2 hour resets like we had for the better part of a year, it was changed to 20 hour resets, with greatly reduced limits.

Now, it's moved again to WEEKLY resets, and an option to pay more money to get additional usage in the meantime has been added. The total usage over the course of a week is only a fraction of what it should be (each attempt, successful or no, costs at least 1% on 720, and images aren't much less).

My account expires on the 30th, and I don't feel at this time that there's any chance of renewing. I'm very disappointed. If the price had simply gone up, but the service went back to something close to what we had, I'd be happy to pay it and keep using Grok. That's not what happened, though.

No, today, as a response to complaints, they released an update TOS and AUP, trying to make sure that we're not doing any of the things that would land them in hot water. Meanwhile, they alienated a lot of customers with their phrasing, and I just can't defend this company any longer. Broken promises are bad enough, rug pulls are worse, but trying to act like the first two never happened is an insult to the users as a whole.

So, I'm burning up the last of my usage before my account expires, while some tricks still work (in 2 weeks, I suspect most of them will not, nor ever again). I hope someone enjoys.

Go look at your WEEKLY usage limits before you spam your ideas.

Elon just cut our usage by another 90% so that he could add a credit top up system while effectively axeing the monthly subs.

I used what would be roughly my daily limit and I'm already at 42% of my WEEKLY quota for usage. If I hadn't been checking it, I could have easily used 100% in less than an hour, and that's rewriting prompts as I go.

Yes, it includes image creation and edits.

My account expires at the end of the month, this is too much for me to defend or tolerate. For those who stay, I hope that Elon stops being a cocksucker and making false promises.

The seemingly decreasing limit per day has made getting any extended clips completed very difficult. Still, I try. I'll keep trying. I'll keep going until it kills me. Or the end of the month expiry date hits and then I need to find something else to do.

Grok has been working mostly well, but stubborn about the oddest things lately. It will insta-moderate what used to be easy prompts, but allow so many other things now. Sadly, the easy prompts are the ones that I want to finish scenes with, and well, fuck me, I guess.

Just an experiment with Grok Imagine, testing how lighting effects are handled. Did you know that Grok has absolutely no idea what a flashlight should look like? Try it. have a person shining a flashlight on another person, and use up all of your daily generations trying to get it to not look stupid. Maybe you'll get luckier than I did, and, if you do, please share the wording for the prompt because it's vexing me something awful lol.

Yes, I did get pretty close on some photos, but I was trying to make the flashlight the sole source of light in the image, and well,

Anyway, the girls are up to no good, and I have to wait until tomorrow to tinker with these. Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions.

Grok is being very fussy about extending this. It goes to 99% and then tells me to go fuck myself.

I can't offer the prompts right now as the latest patch introduced a bug where the prompts are all missing for nearly everything that I've ever done. Grok says that this is a common bug right now with the interface and I'll accept that for now, hoping that they'll fix it soon.

I don't think that Supergrok heavy is worth the price, considering that Supergrok itself was perfect until they just decided one day "nah, let's take it from them" and made have the same limits that free accounts used to have. Heavy went down to what regular supergrok used to be.

I can't say that I'm willing to risk another nerf until Elon makes good on his promise to increase limits.

Also, I don't know why, but whenever I try to post several images from an album in redgifs, it posts on reddit as only a single picture with no option to see the other photos. Sadly, posting directly loses some quality. Any tips would be appreciated on this matter.

**Someone in the group asked me to post here, so I'm giving it a shot. For Reddit posting, I usually work exclusively in Grok, although I have been working with a friend for an AI business that he is putting together and so I have access to other models, but I do not mix business with pleasure.
