Just came out of my first ever "session" with another person. I say that in quotations because it was really more of a guided meditation I did with my boyfriend as the subject. This is something he and I have been discussing for a very long time. No post hypnotic suggestions or triggers yet, just testing out getting him into that trance state and adjusting to how that feels. He said it felt very nice and relaxing. I was going in without a script but after listening to so many files for the past three or four years and doing some research, I felt like I had a good foundation to go off of based on files I'd heard before and text based stuff I've read previously. Big shout-out to everyone in this sub for being so informative and open about their own experiences! Right now he and I are in more or less a testing phase to figure out what works for him. We have this lamp with three different bulbs that you can set the color or make them change colors on a timer so I used that as a visual component and played a theta wave binaural sound in the background from my phone. I primarily used countdown breathing, body scanning, and visualization techniques to guide him. Next time I wanna toy around with different environmental anchors like smell and sensation play.
There were a couple of things I noticed that I didn't expect! Mostly that it takes a lot more effort for me to use the Ericksonian language than I thought. Some of it came naturally through different techniques. For example, during the body scan I defaulted to saying things like "you may feel abc" and "you may notice xyz." Meanwhile for the countdown and count up, I was having a hard time coming up with the different steps for waking back up that didn't feel like too much too quickly. I was worried about giving him that near-whiplash-like feeling when you're abruptly taken out of it since I know that he does not like that feeling. I definitely need to practice using "may feel" more in sessions. Regardless, he said he really liked it and it felt relaxing which is a win for me. We tried the hands-glued-together trick and it was way more effective than I thought it would be for our first ever attempt!
If anyone has any tips for a novice hypnodom, please tell me below! I've been a long-time enjoyer of erotic hypnosis and have been wanting to try my hand at holding the reigns for a while. We're taking this slow and steady right now and not doing anything major as of yet. We're both very excited to explore this further!
