My F3152 cage with a 45mm ring doesn't look right, the gap between the ring and the inverted bit is 10mm at the top and sides, but only about 6.5mm at the bottom.

I can fit my the tip of my pinky finger+nail all around the ring, except the bottom.

I don't see how it's possible to fit in this cage, I would have thought it should have more room at the bottom if anything.

I took a picture of it, added a light blue circle around the edge of the ring, a red circle around the edge of the inverted piece, then copy+pasted the exact same black line between them to demonstrate:
