In a continuation of an earlier post, I'm providing my brief thoughts on Shorty Mac's scenes, which have proven to be an excruciating slog. Last time, I reviewed 17 of the scenes from 2009, of which only 4 were worthwhile. Now, I'm putting myself through it again in a spirit of completionism and in the hopes that this round will be better than the first. Whether that will be the case, we can find out together below:

1. Kitty Caulfield (B-tier): Kitty is hot as fuck and is carrying this entire scene on her shoulders because otherwise it's the same as all the rest
2. Lake Russell (C-tier): Just sort of boring, very generic
3. Lisa Demarco (B-tier): Similar to Kitty's scene, a generic entry made better by a sexy lead
4. Joclyn Stone (B-tier): Joclyn has a great no-bullshit attitude that really won me over
5. Raven Black (C-tier): More dull than I expected, even with Raven's fun energy, also oddly low volume compared to other scenes
6. Nicole Moore (B-tier): Most cinematic reveal of the mom in the intro. On the one hand, Nicole isn't much of a performer. On the other hand, she's one of the hottest women the channel's had on. For that reason, the rating gets a bump.
7. Kendra Secrets (C-tier): Kendra starts off a bit rough but gets better as the scene goes on. Still, nothing here to recommend it above the rest.
8. Vanessa Videl (D-tier): Vanessa is WAY overdoing it here to the point where it seems like a parody. Her attempts at being arousing come off as comical, like a porn Norma Desmond.
9. Stunning Summer (C-tier): Another very typical scene for the channel, although she does have a nice thick ass and thighs
10. June Summers (A-tier): June looks insanely sexy here, and she makes sure to keep the son involved periodically, which is great to see!
11. India Summer (C-tier): Look, as a big fan of India, I'm as surprised as anyone how mid this was. Some terrible lighting and not one of India's most enthusiastic performances. The material didn't really play to her strengths. She's best when she's more low-key and seductive.
12. Michaela Mancini (C-tier): The most notable part of the scene is how comically long it takes Shorty to cum at the end; three-and-a-half minutes of awkward jerking off.
13. Zoey Andrews (D-tier): Zoey has some good curves but doesn't seem used to being on camera. I couldn't stop wondering who the chick was from the intro to the scene. She looked amazing! If you know her name, tell me in the comments!
14. Bobbi Lennox (B-tier): Bobbi is so fun to watch here. She's a natural performer who knows how to hold attention. The weak point is the son, who seems unsure of how to act.
15. Kylie Ireland (S-tier): Kylie might be the angriest mom yet, and I am so here for it! She perfectly understands the kink at the heart of what this channel is all about. This is the second-best scene so far, eclipsed only by Flower Tucci's gangbang. I'll have to do a separate post just for this one. I'm even contemplating whether to bump this up to G-tier!
16. Stephanie Wylde (A-tier): Shorty's final scene is here, and it took that asshole FOUR minutes to cum after pulling out at the end. Good riddance! I'm being generous in my rating, ignoring the awkward ending and focusing on Stephanie and Ice Cold, who are both great. Stephanie looks amazing, especially with the fan on set blowing her hair back majestically.

All things considered, this was a much stronger lineup of scenes than 2009, with some seriously amazing entries on here, but I'll get to all of my final thoughts in my upcoming 2010 wrap-up post.

Although it took my much longer than expected due to unforeseen delays, I've finally watched every scene from 2009 (when the site was launched). In just six months, they released 25 scenes, almost all of which featured (for better or worse) their original star player Shorty Mac.

These early scenes are far weaker than the site's more well-known later entries and show a lack of confidence in the theme. In many scenes, the sons either disappear for most of the runtime or have no interaction with their "mothers" after the intimacy begins. The studio didn't seem to know what to do with the concept of a son watching his mother "go black", so they mostly revert back to normal interracial scenes which happen to have another man sitting in the background. Many of the women featured are generally unappealing, either due to unattractive appearance or lack of screen presence. The overuse of Shorty Mac also works against the scenes, as (apart from a thick cock) he lacks sex appeal or charisma.

Looking back at the ratings I gave, the vast majority sit in the C-tier; not exactly good or bad but entirely middling and uninspired. Considering how much they all feel like copies of each other, I find it difficult to recommend any of them. Beneath those, I placed three scenes in the D-tier and four in the F-tier. Especially compared to the iconic interracial porn of the 2010s, the scenes feel dated and cheap, reusing the same sets and featuring shoddy lighting and camera work that often feel unprofessional.

On the whole, this was a deeply disappointing introduction to the brand. Nearly every scene followed one of the same two stories. In Story A, the delinquent son is involved in some harebrained scheme with Shorty Mac and is quickly caught by his mother, who inexplicably decides to make Shorty Mac go away by fucking him while the ashamed son watches (or, as often as not, leaves the room). In Story B, the son owes money to Shorty (and sometimes Shorty's friends), causing them to go to his home and blackmail his mother into sex to settle the debt, again making the son watch. They aren't particularly engaging setups to begin with, so seeing them played out so many times becomes grating very quickly.

Happily, there are a few glimmers of hope hidden within the larger mire of mediocrity and failure. Out of 25 scenes, there are still a few I would consider worth watching. Janet Mason's two scenes both earned a B-tier, as did Rae Rodgers. They aren't great, but they have all some moments of quality. Syren de Mer and Julia Ann both gave A-tier debuts on the channel, which is to be expected for stars of their caliber. It's obvious why they are two of the most successful women in the industry.

The two best scenes by far were the gangbangs featuring Friday and Flower Tucci. These easily stand among the very best scenes the channel ever produced, especially Flower Tucci's scene, which capitalizes on the conceit of a son forced to watch his mother go black better than any other scene released that year. Both scenes and both stars should be far more well-known than they are, making them underrated gems!

Next up is 2010, when the reign of Shorty Mac finally came to an end. I'm excited to watch what that year had to offer and whether they were able to improve the quality of their output. I hope you've been enjoying my journey through Watching My Mom Go Blacked!
