Complete Suspensory Ligament Tear & Mental Health After

Hi all. I'm 39 years old and about 3 and a half years ago I am almost 100% certain I completely tore my suspensory ligament celebrating recovering from umbilical hernia surgery with my wife. We were in the jockey position on the bed and she came back hard when I had slipped out bending me which eventually led to me being pushed down with an audible snapping/cracking sound so loud that even she heard it. I couldn't move or get out the way fast enough because I was still in pain from the abdominal surgery and I thought she would surely stop. I remember thinking thank goodness I didn't have a fracture when I checked myself after even tho there was an intense tingling sensation and pain at the base of my penis. Little did I know my life had completely changed in that moment with 1 bad stroke.

I've had a number of symptoms over the years and have tried a few things. I have never been what I was and who I was before that day again. But this post isn't about my story or even the symptoms I've had exactly. Rather my question is how are you guys dealing with life mentally after this?

I always considered myself a mentally strong individual but this is breaking me down along with all the other hardships that come with life. The disconnect between what my libido and body had come to expect from my penis before and the greatly diminished state it's in now is frustrating and greatly depressing to me. I was so in tune with my body and sexuality before and it feels like I've lost a big part of myself. Are you guys going through the same thing? How are you dealing with it mentally?
