While i'm aware that in the UK RIC was never that popular, I’m curious if there were or are regions within the UK (irrespective of centres with large Muslim or jewish populations) that it was statistically more prevalent.
like, would somebody born 60, 50, 40 etc years ago in one region or town, be more likely to be circumcised then say another region or town.
Hey fellas, one of the trends I see pop up here is the idea that RIC is more common and still is prevalent in regional and remote areas of Australia — is this true? Like to see some comments from people who grew up outside of a capital city with some insight and perhaps some theories why RIC Remains popular in remote/regional places.
Curious if anyone here has, when they've revealed their circ status or shown it to a partner, etc, has had a negative response. Like, "You've been mutilated," or "Circumcision is barbaric."
I know circumcision, while always controversial, is something people have strong opinions on, both for it and against it.
Maybe it's just internet rhetoric, but the language I've heard from some of the more staunch opponents of the practice can be pretty strong….to the extreme of equating male depression, poor social skills, sexual inadequacy, to the “harms” of circumcision.
Have you ever found yourself having to argue not just to defend the practice, but also to defend the fact that you're circumcised?
im sure a few people on this page got circumcised as adults. im curious if following your circumcision your opinion on it changed.. like did you grow up thinking it was a horrible thing thing to have, then get one (maybe medical) and find out it wasn’t so bad,, maybe even better? Did you rethink your stance on infant circumcision or did you get a better understanding why some people are pro-circumcision?
hope im not asking too many qustions, but some comments have led me to ask. some of you older fellers here talk about back in your day it was the norm and everyone got circumcised, my question is , when did you find out that you were circed and when did you first encounter or see one that was uncircumcised? like were some of youse in proper adults before you saw an uncircumcised cock?
just curious how much of a minority is a circumcised cock is in the UK. Like, are you the only circumcised person a partners been with? How likely are you to pick up someone who is circumcised randomly at a club? Im in Australia and it probably 50/50, I’ve heard the rates are really low In the UK. with that in mind, what reactions do you get from people that learn you’ve been circumcised — is it that unusual do people get hung up, conflating it with mutilation or emaculation?
