The inspiration behind this new subreddit is a simple one. I was a long time member and moderator of some older internet forums that had a focus on mycology, pharmacology, drug research, research chemicals, etc. Those places were special because provided a place for curious minds like mine to openly discuss topics that were considered taboo at the time. Bluelight, Drugs-forum, are some well known examples. Many things have changed in the 20+ years that I've been observing and contributing to this pursuit of knowledge. Most of my interest in the wide world of pharmacology came from a desire to understand my own (often confusing) mental landscape. I want to create a little community of like minded individuals who share my passion for plant medicine, drug research, and advocacy for our rights to learn about them without legal consequences.

Please remember us the next time you see something interesting, have a question, or just want to vent about something related to this interesting and ever changing "scene"

Despite this law and the undeniable blow that it represents to our freedom to ingest a substance which many have come to love and appreciate. I would just like to remind everyone that this isn't the first time such measures have been taken, and virtually every time they fail. They fail to realize that as long as there is a customer willing to pay, there will always be a market that survives. I've lived to see so many beloved substances being declared dangerous or evil, but alas the wonders of chemistry abound and when they close one door on us - we open two new ones. And the cycle continues...
