A little shitpost meme featuring my beloved Akagi, a fellow shipgirl franchise’s Yamato (come on, Manjuu, give us the Yamato!), and a certain broken World of Warships hybrid that I do not dare say the name of out of instinctual hatred for such a beast.

I made this meme because I love (and hate, looking at you, Wargaming) these three franchises, and often play WoWs and AL frequently these days to pass by the time. Ever since I figured out Arpeggio’s Yamato is voiced by the same VA as AL’s Akagi, I have loved hearing her voice whenever I’m in battle, and just yesterday thought of this meme as I was battling in my Yamato for a premium mission clear.

Also, sorry to the mods for the watermark, but I broke right now, and literally can’t afford any premium services for apps like Memeatic or the like. Please don’t take this meme down just because of a stupid watermark I have no control over right now, I just want to share this stupid meme idea that came to mind with the community at large here. Ello, fellow Shikikan’s and Commander’s of Azur Lane. Many of you do not know me, as I’ve mostly kept to myself during my tenure of playing this game, but I am an avid player of the game on the Avrora server who joined mid-2020 when my life was a in a state of confusion, when the world itself was confused and fearful. The world at the time was going through a bit of a panic moment thanks to a certain Coronavirus shutting down everything like the second coming of the Black Plague. I was just finishing up Middle School, and had stumbled upon a little known game (to me, anyway) known as Azur Lane.

Long story short, I ended joining after months of watching a YouTuber named Hawk2Zer0 (miss that guy, his content was great), and joined in during an event period that was one of the greatest events of my life, that being the first run of Richelieu’s event. I got Richelieu within 50 builds of trying on the banner for her, and I have not looked back since, my luck getting me a notorious amount of shipgirls within a short amount of time. I’ve never really bragged about my luck, but I’ve often gotten many URs on their first run banners within just 30-40 builds for them, something that I am all too conscious of to really brag about all the time for.

Anyway, I saw a few years back of a post someone made where they had just made 200 oaths in AL, and it inspired me to one day make my own post when I one day made it to 200 oaths. That day came and went without a second thought, and before I knew it, I had made my 201st oath not shortly after. So I decided to postpone the post until today after I had just made my 225th oath, that to Weser, the second to last Admiral Hipper-Class girl I needed to make my oathings to.

I’ve always loved my shipgirl’s, I basically treat them as second family, and as such, this is dedicated to all the shipgirls I have oathed over the years, and to my two most favorite shipgirl’s in particular, Richelieu and Akagi, Richelieu for being my first ever oath I made, and Akagi being the girl I will follow into the depths of Hell itself just to make sure she comes back safe and sound, as she was the girl that got me into AL in the first place.

Alongside the long list of Oaths that I have are 15 of my favorite nicknames that I have made for my shipgirls, seen in the individual photos of my shipgirls. Some are nicknames that the community has given these shipgirls, such as Biscuit and Warcorgi, others are ones I have given them myself, such as Hippity Hipster Tipster and Fluffy Laffey Taffy (see if you can identify what I’m referencing with Laffey’s nickname), and others still are references to other franchises. The one I came up with for my own personal use the most is Ryuhou’s nickname, Ryuujian, as I kept and still keep mixing up Ryuhou with Ryujou, so I just decided to name her Ryuujian to stop confusing me whenever I’m referring to Ryuhou in-game by name.
