What activities you begin to live after doing psychs a lot?

What are some of your favourite activities that you started enjoy after doing psychs ? For me, i think I started loving walking, traveling, playing team sports. What else?

Worshipping God for realization

I recently came upon Ramana maharishi. He is different from most other gurus because he had an ego death when he was 16 and since then he had abandoned all material possessions. He wasn't well versed in any scriptures. He looks like a true guru.

This is what Ramana maharishi said about realization:

One of his most famous statements was that there are only two paths:

  1. Ask "Who am I?"

  2. Completely surrender to God.

He often said these end in the same place.

His logic was:

In Self-Inquiry, the ego disappears by investigation.

In surrender, the ego disappears by giving itself to God.

Either way, the ego loses its central position.

So does this mean religions have been right all along? Do you think surrendering oneself to God dissolve the ego? If not why?

What do you know about psychedelics that others don't know?

One thing that i understood way after having my bad trip with my first lsd trip was that you need to be in a good state and non clingy before trying it. They used to avoid eating meat, alcohol etc for this reason.

Argument against psychedelics

I have only done psychedelics once (lsd 200ug). After the trip, it felt like a "veil" have removed and I could see and feel something. But also i felt like i don't have a choice after the trip is over. It feels like i can't live like normal humans who haven't seen beyond the veil. Like you have to live in a strict one way, you are controlled by something bigger than you, you don't have the choice to do what you want etc.

Now in islam, there is the concepts of "veils" Allah has created inorder to protect humans. There is a veil between Allah and the worshipper.

There is also a famous hadith:

"His veil is light (or fire). If He were to remove it, the splendors of His Face would burn everything His sight reaches."

Most of the earliest animist beliefs were caused by psychedelic usage. But iam wondering what if you are not supposed to ask spirits for help or try to foresee future? What if the purpose of creation is to fully live in the moment and enjoy instead of trying to reach a certain place?

How does porn affect your trips?

Those who have done porn and masturbation a week before or days before their mushroom trip, did you have any difference in your trip compared to normal trips?

I found porn + masturbation to increase attachment. I think it's the same attachment that makes you want to cling to life hard and don't want to let go. And given how psychedelics is a substance that makes you die. I think porn and masturbation increases the resistance during the trip.

Or did you still have a good trip?

For me, it seems like everytime I look at porn, the feeling that I am "bad" is set and it doesn't need to be hours of watching porn, but just failing to resist temptation and giving in also give the same feeling. Also it seems abstaining for long doesn't seem to change anything. So if abstaining doesn't do anything, what can I do?

Eleusinian mysteries

I was watching documentary on eleusinian mysteries. I think they definitely knew a lot more about psychedelics than we do. I think the whole community support and the dancing, chanting, lights, etc sort of like support the inner experience well. I think this is what is missing in our culture. We have to take these substances in secrecy and be anxious about it and look crazy and have a bad trip.

Anyone took psychedelics after fasting?

I was watching a documentary on elusinian mysteries. It says they used to fast for a day and then break the fast with psychs. I took my first lsd dose (200ug) in the morning of my fast. I had the feeling of dying kick in towards sunset. Looking back on this, i think you would have very different experience if you completed the fast and broke the fast with the psychs. Has anyone done it like this before?

It seems like initiates in the elusinian mysteries always describe darkness before reaching the light. Does it mean you are supposed to get terrible trips? I have read that people describe that a low dose like 100ug lsd gives them good trips while a higher dose gives them terrible ones.

Does anyone get the feeling of "possessed" after trips?

I think it's not just psychedelics but any drugs give you the feeling of possessed if you are resisting it's effects i think. I get feelings of possessed on ritalin, nicotine gum, etc.

I think this could be the reason why shamans do such complex rituals before the ceremonies and respect the substance. I would like to learn these rituals and practices and do them myself.

Monotheism

Hindus believe the ultimate reality is one without a second. The ultimate reality is called brahman. Everything exists because of brahman. Islam, judaism is also strict monotheism. It says god is one. I believe early humans like also knew there is only one god even though they didn't worship him.

It is logical that everything must have one creator or source. Everything else must come from it.

What do you think of monotheism? I would like to also hear about psychedelic experiences of those who strictly believe in one god

Is 250ug lsd that big of a dose for beginner?

Has anyone took 200-250ug lsd as a beginner?

I took 200ug one for my first time in a bad setting. I haven't fully recovered even after 3 months. By not recovered, i mean i have intrusive thoughts, unable to sit and focus on hard task (especially computers since iam a coder), also sometimes i feel like iam not in control, etc. I believe the bad setting (living in a toxic home) might have contributed more to these effects than lsd itself. What were your experiences like?
