Ex-spliff smoker looking for the most “spliff-like” vape — sipper, simple, sedating. What should I try next?

I’m curious to hear recommendations from people who understand this specific style of vaping.
I smoked spliffs for many years, usually weed mixed with tobacco. I’ve now been away from combustion for almost 7 months, and I really don’t want to go back. My lungs feel much cleaner, my stamina is noticeably better, I enjoy training more, and even the cravings for tobacco spliffs are finally starting to fade.
But there’s still one thing I’m trying to find: a vape experience that scratches the same itch as a long spliff session.
I’m NOT necessarily looking for the vape with the biggest cloud or fastest extraction.
What I seem to prefer is:
Long, slow sipping sessions
Very simple operation
A clear beginning and end to the session
A heavier / more sedating effect
Something that feels closer to the headspace I used to get from spliffs
More “roasted” session-style extraction rather than smashing the whole bowl in 1–2 hits
My current vapes are:
PAX Mini 2
XMAX Starry V4
TinyMight 2
Arizer Solo 3
The funny thing is that the TM2 and Solo 3 are obviously absolute beasts and can extract much faster, but during the last week I’ve found myself going back almost exclusively to the PAX Mini 2 and Starry.
That probably tells me something about my preferences.
The PAX especially keeps pulling me back. It was also my first proper vape, so maybe part of it is familiarity, but the effect genuinely feels different to me. It feels slower, more roasted and somehow closer to the way a spliff used to affect my head compared with my more convection-heavy devices.
With the PAX I usually pack the oven properly, use the 3D screen flipped upside down, take long gentle sips rather than hard pulls, and I normally stir the herb halfway through the session. I’ve experimented quite a lot with draw speed, packing and temperature over the last 7 months.
The Starry also surprised me again recently. At higher temperatures it gives me a heavier, punchier session while still allowing me to sit there and sip on it instead of finishing everything immediately.
So now I’m wondering where to go next.
A lot of people keep recommending:
DynaVap / Dani Fusion
Ball vapes
and sometimes DaVinci
The DaVinci isn’t really in my plans right now because I’m not sure another expensive battery conduction vape would give me enough of a different experience.
I’m much more curious about DynaVap/Dani Fusion vs a ball vape.
Would something like a DynaVap or Dani Fusion give me a noticeably stronger, heavier and more satisfying effect while still keeping some of that ritual?
Or would a ball vape finally give me that really strong “session is DONE” feeling that I sometimes feel is missing from vaping?
At the same time, I don’t want vaping to become a complicated science project. Coming from spliffs, I appreciate being able to load something, sit down, sip for a while and be done.
So if you were an ex-spliff smoker who prefers sipping, simplicity, heavier/sedating effects and session-style vaping, what would you recommend?
Especially interested in hearing from people who moved from spliffs to PAX/Starry/DynaVap/ball vapes and understand the type of experience I’m describing.

Why Am I keep liking conduction over convection and hybrid.

Always my Xmax Starry V4 and Pax mini get me more stoned than my arizer solo 3 and Tiny Might 2 . And gives me also more sedative effects. IM 7 months into DHV coming from 10 years of spliffs with tobacco and really hard combustion

Looks pretty damn cool on the Solo 3 too. 😅

I already liked the default Solo 3 stem, but I’ve been really enjoying this one lately.
The flavor is great and the extra cooling is definitely noticeable, especially at higher temps. The vapor feels cooler and smoother without taking away from the taste.
Didn’t really need another stem, but this one actually delivers. Really cool little upgrade.✌🏻

That’s awesome 😎

Really now just start to appreciating TM2 , 6months now.. I decided to transform from combustion to DHV after of 10 years of spliff (with toacco) and firstly i got the Pax plus , but i wanted something more powerful and I bought Tm2 , but I couldn’t rip it off because it was harsh for me , and after i ordered ARIZER SOLO 3 🤣 But now I use it daily and i am finding my sweet spot..Anyone with the same or similar story?😅

Is it worth it?

I am 6 months now clean from spliffs . I used to combust daily 5g spliffs 10 years now , and I have a lot of craving for spliff , I miss effects of spliffs , but i love the trade off to be healthier, but sometimes DHV does not filling me up. and some time I get different experiences from DHV and there is no sedative effect at all, I have Pax mini , starry 4 , Arizer solo 3 , and Tiny might 2 i have tried all temps, but i dont get the same high and i dont use it for medical reasons so i am chasing this high , but i feel i will ruin my streak and potentially return back to combustion and spliffs..Also my mind was more relaxed with spliffs , with DHV sometimes running a lot

Just got my Pax Plus replacement ( Pax Mini 2)

Hello lovely team , just posting this for curiosity to get feedback about my New Pax mini 2. My pax plus had a problem with the 2 blue light , that I have understood is a common problem that Pax was facing and they have decided to discontinue PAX PLUS , and they send a Pax mini 2 under claim of warranty. So i just wanted to kindly ask you guys , is the Pax mini 2 a good device or Pax 4 and Flow were better options , they didn’t give me chance to choose they just sent me Pax mini 2. Are there any tips or tricks about the device?
