How long can you go without a dose - when do you start feeling crappy?

Sometimes, if I have a super busy day where I can't take subs in the morning, I'll forget to take it. Then it's night time and I feel a little weird, but I wonder how much of it is real. So I'm just wondering if any of you have ever missed a dose and how that felt.

Are you guys in active recovery/sobriety?

I'm starting to think I should be taking everything in this subreddit with a HUGE grain of salt. I'll see a comment/post, and probe the user further. I often find out the person is on several drugs, whether it be uppers or downers, and that they're going from subs to fentanyl to heroin etc. They talk about tapering off but it doesn't actually mean lowering the suboxone dose slowly over time, but they'll talk about how they randomly lower the dose, use fentanyl, whatever else. It's just weird.

So how many of us or what % are long time sober and taking suboxone as prescribed by a provider?

What side effects are you guys having?

I swear I read everything on this sub. People who can't sleep on/off subs, sleep too much on/off subs. People who feel tired on/off subs, people who feel more energetic on/off subs. It's like a drug that makes different people feel different things, which I know happens.

It's just confusing to me. I've been on subs for 3 years and I was originally on fentanyl.

Maybe I can't tell because my baseline is just that, my baseline. But I don't notice anything unless I miss a day. I feel more alert, more anxious, but more alive. It's like I feel everything more intensely when I miss a dose.

Anybody here get off suboxone after a long period of being on ONLY suboxone?

Been sober and on subs for 3 years now. I recently read a comment about someone who was on it for 2 years and decided to quit and they quit pretty rapidly. But they said they felt different after. They said suboxone had been numbing them and they weren't aware of it. I'm starting to wonder if I've been walking around numb for years now.

I think I just feel "normal" but I remember when fentanyl used to make me feel just "normal" too. Can anyone speak from experience about their awareness and emotional state before and after when it comes to suboxone only?

Lost my insurance. Might have to go cold turkey or close to it.

Been on 16mg a day for about 3 years. I recently lost my insurance and can't really afford to buy it. I might just pay for some of it in order to go on a taper. But what's my best option here? This comes at such an inconvenient time and I'm terrified but I have been wanting to get off of it anyway. Wtf should I do here?
