Until last weekend, I hadn’t dressed up in a long time. I kept it simple but lately I’ve been wanting to dress up more. I tend to be pretty introspective and this got me thinking about my relationship. I won’t go in to detail but she found out the wrong way. Additionally, a lot of other things have happened in our relationship that caused a breakdown in trust because of me. But we are working through it and even though there are still hard days, I feel so lucky to have a woman who understands and supports my dressing. I’m an average looking man at best, and dressing as a woman is not as easy for me as it is for some others here. Heck, just this morning she helped me set up an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed. She is the only other person in my life that knows this secret I’ve been hiding since my youth. I absolutely do not deserve her but yet she sticks with me and I love her more than I can say.

I guess I’m just saying this because it needs to be said in a space with others who share my secret. I know many of you are scared of your partner finding out. It is scary and it will be a shock to the. But they deserve to know. It’s entirely possible they could have end up being your biggest cheerleader.

I’m not trying to take away from those of you that have partners who know and do not understand. Just trying to express gratitude for what I’m lucky to have.
