🚀 New Features: The Creator Collab Update
Four ways to get your work in front of other people's audiences, all live this week.
Available to a limited group while we finish testing. If you can't see these yet, that's expected.
Creator Collab Update — Discovery and monetization via stickers, remix galleries, cosmetic packs, and collab collections. Plus double rewards until September 2. (linkRed)
Membership for Buzz — 12,500 / 31,250 / 62,500 Buzz (Green/Yellow) for Bronze / Silver / Gold. No monthly Buzz, no Creator Program, no badge. Perks only. (linkRed)
Cosmetic Packs — Sell cosmetics in sets. Listing costs 1,000 Buzz instead of 10,000. (linkRed)
Sticker Placement — Paid stickers on other people's images. Price starts at 50 Buzz, all of it goes to the creator. (linkRed)
Remix Galleries — Paid remix galleries. The creator decides what's worthy. Income goes to them. (linkRed)
Collab Collections — Collaborative collections. Invites, roles, managers. The owner needs a membership. (linkRed)
Before the details: The Civitai team would like to thank user Moonbear for their contribution to the Daily Challenges improvements. 💙🐻
Creators can now set a different cover image, announcement and bio for civitai.com. Leave any of them blank and that one inherits your default, so you only override the pieces you want to change.
Challenges can now be judged by a pairwise ladder instead of absolute scores. Absolute scoring runs out of room on a large challenge, where dozens of entries land on the same value and ties come down to a coin flip. Comparing entries against each other doesn't have that ceiling. Existing challenges keep running exactly as they did.
If you're reselling another creator's item in your shop, the terms you listed under are now stored with your listing. The original creator lowering their share or withdrawing resale can't change what you're paid or pull the item out of your shop. If they withdraw the item itself you'll get a notification, and bringing it back sends it through review again.
MiniMax H3 is available in the generator, with a turbo toggle. It ships with the MiniMax H3 Community License registered, so the licence terms show up where you'd expect them.
Alibaba's Qwen 3 image model is now in the generator, for both text to image and image editing, and it works with the Enhance prompt switch. It runs as its own ecosystem rather than joining Qwen or Qwen 2, so LoRAs and other resources built for those don't carry across.
If you can't see these yet, that's expected. They're switched on for testers and moderators while we work through them.

Well, I would say /name redacted/ *cough* It's a Moonbear, used his analytical Ult on this one! If you ask me... the bear knows too much...
It's a legit good read. /name redacted/ *achoo* It's a Moonbear, he literally got into the site code. But if you just want the latest news, here's the cheatsheet.
Article 1: Le Problem
Assumption: CivBot judging is flawed, but AI judging is the only affordable way to run 2,000+ daily entries.
Problem: Scores tie, same concepts win, no transparency.
Solution: Rolling Swiss (4-image comparison) + Pairwise Ladder for finalists.
Article 2: La Reality
Problem: Bots farm rewards, CopyCats steal concepts, external gen bypasses model requirements, CivBot bias is reinforced by participants.
Solution: Account gates, generator-only submissions, creator-defined judging criteria, no img2img for dailies.

Pretty please, comment on the official article, link below. They DO READ your messages. +Questions they have for YOU:
• Try the New & Upcoming feeds. Did they surface creators or work you hadn't seen before?
• For remix galleries and sticker placement, would you actually use them? What feels fair to charge for a spot or a placement, and what would you pay?
• What would make these worth it for you as a creator?
Keep the feedback coming!

• Text-to-video with precision control: describe the shot and steer it, not just prompt-and-pray.
• Video-to-video object removal: take existing footage and cleanly pull objects out of it. (Helps with bloopers!)
• Audio-driven lip-sync: feed it audio and video together and get matched lip-sync. Audio input is free. (Imagine translating your video into a different language with a Lipsync!)
• Animatic-to-footage: turn a rough animatic into finished-looking video. (Let's help artists polish their vids!)
• Multi-video reference: point it at several reference clips to guide the result. Your first 5 reference images are free. (That's NEW!)

How you earn from your models
When someone generates with your model, you earn from it. Generator tips flow to you as well. That's the baseline for every creator, with nothing to set up - publish your work and it earns.
Everything below is optional, and it's there to give you more control and more ways to earn on top of that baseline.
You can set a fee that you earn every time someone generates with your model.
A fine-tune's fee adds on top of the base model's fee. If Anima charges 5 buzz per image and you set your fine-tune at 1, a generation with your fine-tune costs 6 buzz total - 5 to the Anima creator, 1 to you. Everyone who contributed to the result gets paid.
Set a price for access to a model - for generation, download, or both.
One home for everything you earn from, and the numbers behind it.
The Studio and its analytics are open to every creator, so you can always see how your work is doing. (Cashing out your earnings runs through the Creator Program, but seeing them is open to all.)
A real storefront on your profile - open to Creator Program members today, and rolling out to every creator soon.
A hub to browse the whole community's cosmetics is on the way, too.
You'll be able to put buzz you've already earned toward a membership's perks - a way in that routes around payment barriers. (This unlocks the perks, not the monthly buzz a paid membership includes.)
Membership is how you earn more: higher fee and price caps, buzz banking and payouts, the higher tiers, and the full set of Creator Program benefits. The essentials - earning from your models, setting a fee, and seeing your analytics - are open to everyone.
You've carried this platform with your models for years, and this program exists to make that pay off. We'll keep building it with you, in the open. We can't wait to see what you do with it.
Summary: Base generation compensation stays for every creator, no membership required. The August 31 cutover is cancelled. Licensing fees and permanent paid access are now open to all creators, with caps that scale by membership tier. You'll be able to put earned Buzz toward membership perks. Creator Studio analytics open to everyone. Creator Shops open to all. If you change nothing, nothing changes! Your models keep earning exactly as they do today.

We meant it about listening. Here are some of the specific ideas on the table right now. Nothing here is committed yet, and we'll keep adding to this list as the conversation continues.
Keep the ideas coming in the comments - this is exactly the input we want.

User asks (IcebergMM): What happens to non members with models after the cutover? Do they stop earning buzz at all unless they become a member?
Founder comment (JustMaier): Fair question, and I want to be straight with you. At the cutover the flat 25% generation compensation ends for everyone. After that, earning on a generation comes from a licensing fee you set, and setting one needs a Creator Program membership. You can still earn without a membership through early access and tips, it's the passive per-generation share that becomes a member benefit. The honest reason: we're still not a sustainable business and we're working hard to get there without gutting what makes this good for creators. We're watching closely this month and we're listening. Depending on how it goes, we're open to keeping a base compensation for creators who don't set a fee, so a licensing fee would be the upside rather than the only way to earn. Nothing locked in, but I wanted you to know it's on the table.
