One comment I often receive is that 'there is no conclusion to your stories'.
This often confuses me, as (i) I think there is a conclusion in my stories, and (ii) I don't see why everything has to be explained/wrapped up at the end of a story (like Robert Jordan before me).
But also, I get confused what is meant by this comment too. And it seems that these people think that a cheating story needs 'beat the bitch' or 'reconciliation' in order to conclude/wrap the story up.
This baffles me. I get that those may be their type of story, whereas a pure cheating story is mine. But I wanted to ask you all these questions:
(1) Do you think a story needs a conclusion/to be wrapped up?
(2) Do you think it needs one of these two endings in order to be a complete story?
(3) What do you think of this comment?
I am genuinely interested as I don't really understand why I keep receiving this comment. Especially when I have a disclaimer at the start of a story.
