[F4M] [Dark Story-Driven] [Zombie Apocalypse] You're good at surviving a dead world. She's not. Are the weak worth saving, or are they just objects to use and toss aside when they become an inconvenience?

THE PLOT

It's five years into the apocalypse. Anyone good who liked playing hero died long ago. Survivors are selfish and self-serving. Often times more dangerous than zombies themselves. You managed well here in your second life. Maybe because you're a little bit of a sociopath, or maybe because your shitty life before prepared you for the end of the world.

You find a young woman who is not gonna make it on her own. She's oddly... Unsuited for the apocalypse. How'd she even survive this long? While she certainly can't be trusted, for some reason you decide to save the thing from certain death. Maybe you have a soft spot deep down, maybe the isolation has been driving you crazy, or maybe you're too far gone and see her as an object that can be utilized to further your survival.

ABOUT ME

  • Writes a lot. Roleplays in third person and past tense. Enjoys story-driven plots and narratives, so I'll be playing lots of other survivors in the world for you to encounter eventually (each of them with their own goals/drives for you to explore). So looking for a partner that both wants to explore the world around them and naturally slide in the ERP when it makes sense to. There will be a big interesting world out there!
  • Not required, but I do enjoy rolling on outcomes for some things to randomize what happens. I find it more thrilling when you DON'T know the outcome so there are actual stakes in the decisions your character makes.
  • I enjoy stuff like: Noncon, dubcon, cold/broken (yet well developed) characters, slow burn and healing, size gap, etc.
    • I care more about finding a good writer/partner. Basically willing to put up with any kinks as long as I enjoy writing with you.
  • My main character I'd like to play will be young (18-19), manipulative, yet poorly suited physically for the world. So careful. She'll be harmless, but dangerous in... other ways if you aren't careful or she grows to hate you too much.

[PBP][BITD SYSTEM][GM4M][DARK SETTING] It's been five years since zombies first surfaced. The world is a sadistic anarchist hellscape. You find a girl in trouble. Should you even bother risking your wellbeing to try and help? Humans are often more dangerous than zombies.

! THE PLOT

It's been five years since the zombie outbreak began. The world fell into utter chaos. Humans began to decline drastically as zombies rose at an alarming rate. The first three years were the worst, and by then most the heroes and incompetents were turned. The world was left with a sadistic and selfish population. Men at this point were probably calloused from having to bash the skulls of loved ones. Women would sell their bodies for a can of beans or protection. Cannibalism, slavery, and murder became common practice.

You were competent, smart, and strong. Capable. You've found a stride were you can survive in a large city and built up some safehouses and shelters in different locations. You kept to yourself, aside from simple trade or short interaction with other survivors. The strict rules you followed helped you thrive and kept you safe.

One day you'll be scavenging when you'll notice signs that you're being followed. Small signs. A shadow down the street from a hiding place, blinds from inside a building moving. You might have by accidentally stumbled across some survivor's territory, but you'll quickly learn that's not the case an hour or two later when you hear something that isn't allowed in the city. A scream. More specifically, a yell for help. The voice belongs to a young woman surrounded by three zombies that are about to absolutely tear her apart.

Maybe you have a little soft spot left over after most of your core had been emptied and calloused. Maybe you understand the value someone like her can provide. Maybe you decide to do it because the isolation has started to drive you insane and you crave some type of human interaction.

Everything is going to change from that point onward.

! ABOUT ME

  • Looking for a literate play-by-post partner.
    • You should enjoy playing a messed up and damaged person who fits the setting in some way.
    • You write in the third person and past tense.
    • You enjoy plot-driven stories that will lead to some interesting directions you can go in (depending on which plots you decide to pursue).
    • You don't need to know the BiTD system. I find it to be perfect for text-based roleplays.
  • I will be playing lots of NPCs/characters in the world as we go. I play both female and male characters you'll come across. They all have their own goals and drives. Careful.
  • I love dark settings and characters. A lot of the darker themes might be stuff including things like: noncon, dubcon, kidnap, rough sex, blackmail, extortion, size difference, etc.
    • You can make your character however you'd like (a soft spot that is gentle and moves slow, a cold motherfucker that only sees her body as an asset to trade with other survivors for supplies, he can view her as someone who owes him for risking himself to keep her safe and force a quid pro quo if she wants the protection to stay, etc). You're free to do as you please, but be wary because picking a fight with survivors (and losing) might lead to them doing as they please. So even if you're playing someone on the gentle side, it's still a very dark and rough world around him!
  • I don't have any limits. I will put up with any pacing or kinks as long as it fits the story/setting well. Happy to go with any flow as long as the writer is good and matches my vibe for the most part.

With all that said, if any of this sounds fun to you feel free to reach out to me in DM! I'd love to find someone I enjoy roleplaying with (the first encounter and start can be roleplay only on Reddit), but once I find someone I want to make it long-term with we can sit down and build out proper character sheets/etc and ease into things for the long-run. This will probably be moved over to Discord eventually for easy dice rolls and channels.

!ZOMBLADE [LFG] [PBP] [BiTD: Homebrew] Zombies came ten years ago. In an anarchist fucked up world one man decides to create an organization to reclaim the world for humans.

! ZomBlade

It’s been 10 years since the zombie outbreak began. The world fell into an anarchist hellscape. Men had to bash the skulls open of loved ones. Women would sell their bodies for supplies. Slavery, cannibalism, and murder became common. Society fell to ruins and it truly looked like humanity was destined to go extinct. Survivors were far and few in between, and they often tried to stay to themselves in tiny groups knowing that other humans could be more dangerous than the zombies.

Severin Sheffield is a name that was been passed around recently for his aggressive trade with survivors. Any survivors. Slaves, supplies, food. As people asked what he’d been prepping for, the man finally gave his response: He claimed he was going to run an expedition to clear out thousands of zombies inside of the largest skyscraper in the city.

He was doing it to send a message.

That humanity was not destined to wither and go extinct. Instead, they were destined to recover and rebuild.

! The Purpose

Hi there. I want to do a gritty dark setting, and honestly I sort of want to build up a Discord Community where there will eventually be different aspects and always plenty of people to roleplay with:

  • People can choose to roleplay if they please, just focusing on their personal character's story. They don't need to worry about the TTRPG mechanics or game system if it's not their jam. You don't need to level your character to enjoy the setting.
    • Perfect if someone just wants to play someone's property. If a raider is risking his life and wants to come back to a warm body, you might be the one to help release their stress.
  • People can sign up for specific "missions" they'll be sent on that help push the overall story along and help the organization progress. These missions will be sort-term and level their characters. So the more people deploy on individual missions, the stronger they'll become.
    • These raiders will be seeing some fucked up shit, and probably be twisted people. But that's okay. Let's fuck up ourselves so one day humanity can go back to the dominant race.
  • I want multiple people to be able to DM these missions once their character is a high enough rank to lead a mission. That'll leave plenty of opportunities for DMs and players to constantly have new content and fun!
    • People can build out missions themselves if they like taking the lead, OR choose to be a member in someone else's mission. It'll help prevent burnout and make sure the main story is always moving towards progressing so the world will always be moving and the setting will feel dynamic and immersive. People share the responsibility to keep the fun going!

! What I'm Looking For

For now, I'd like to test out some systems and build out some good mechanics. I know I'd like to use a system inspired by Blades in the Dark which is perfect for text-based roleplaying. While I do this, I want to find some fun people to roleplay with who might enjoy helping me develop the OOC resources I'll need.

While the roleplay community is in the "beta test", I'll be roleplaying as Severin himself teaming up with a few survivors to help him slowly clear different levels of the building. This can be anything from:

  • Survivors who believe in what he's doing and want to help. They came to him by choice.
  • Survivors who are desperate, struggling, and this is their best shot at staying fed.
  • Slaves he purchased through trade.
  • Sadistic motherfuckers who are happy to help do some crazy shit as long as Severin promises to provide them with any of their vices (alcohol, sex slaves, etc).
  • Survivors that were set up too close to the building that he considers his "territory". He is starting to brutally claim turf and anyone found inside those areas need to clear out or submit/obey his whims as he writes the rules.
    • You don't have to believe in him or like what he's doing, but leaving where you hunkered down isn't safe. You might have to cooperate just to stay there for the time being until you figure out next steps.

So I'll be looking for great writers who are okay being my play test dummies with characters who are deployed to help achieve certain goals and engage in the risky part of the game. Missions with the purpose of helping to reclaim that huge skyscraper floor-by-floor.

Once I'm comfortable and we're out of Beta, hopefully the skyscraper is claimed by then and I'll really open up the community to start to expand and grow.

! NSFW & SETTING

I like really dark settings. This means a lot of noncon, dupcon, abusive dynamics. With society breaking down you either are strong enough to protect a few people (by putting yourself at risk), you learn VERY useful skills that people need and can depend on, or you are weak and hope to make yourself useful enough to someone that they'd risk their own wellbeing to keep you safe on a daily basis. Obviously, this can lead to a lot of unhealthy co-dependent relationships. It's hard to remember how to be loving when humans who survived this long are probably only looking out for their best interests. Most would rob you blind the second you fall asleep or get too comfortable.

Severin is well aware a lot of people are untrusting and messed up, so at the moment he is allowing a lot of depraved behavior and will gladly take someone skilled in combat in exchange for finding them a slave they can keep chained up in their room once they're done bashing skulls for the day. His main concern is recruiting the manpower to accomplish his goal of clearing out the skyscraper. Etiquette and civility can come later.

The short-term missions will probably be more action, and the downtime before the next mission is likely when a lot of the NSFW stuff might happen. We'll see how pacing goes. I love building in-depth NPCs and multiple characters, so as the world needs more I'll either recruit more players to fill people's needs or play the appropriate character and tie those backstories into some fun stuff going on in the world at large.

! HOW TO JOIN

  • Send me a DM on Reddit.
    • Let me know your age (or general range).
    • If there is anything interesting or worthwhile I should know. If there are some themes or parts of this you'd love to explore. Maybe a player wants to be a calloused/cold character with a secret soft spot for some type of person. If another person is eager to play someone that might fill that role for the "soft spot" it might help me group together some people who will enjoy each other's company.
  • Provide a sample of your writing.
    • Whip up a little description of your potential character and some point of their past. Find an interesting part of their personality and explain to me why it ended up that way. What was the first time they were betrayed by someone they trusted? When was the first time they had to do something they thought was filthy but they consider business as usual now? Are they calloused after someone they were supposed to protect died? Introduce me to a part of their psychological depth that you think is important.

Note: I personally am a player with no limits (as long as it fits the setting/story). If I find a good writer I'm happy to put up with any of their bullshit! Obviously as players get into NSFW content, they should discuss those sorts of things before and though. So once I have a core group of test dummies I'll make sure to have some limit lists everyone can add onto a tab of their character sheet.
