I had just bought this new full dive VRMMO simply titled “Realm of the Borrowers.” An interesting game that allows players to play as 3 inch tall people living in a massive tree. And the bravest borrowers have been known to leave the tree, to explore the immense world of giants. Unbeknownst to me, or any player for that matter, is that to save on resources and development costs, instead of building an entire world with giant NPCs, the devs instead connected RoB to another game called “Adventures of Aradon.” It’s a fairly standard fantasy VRMMO, but still quite popular. You have been playing AoA for a while now and heard tell of a rare type of companion NPC, the Borrowers. If you catch one, you can use it however you see fit.

Whether on purpose or by accident however, I don’t just shrink to your size, you shrink me down so small that I now fit in the palm of your hand.

Due to the rules of the Fae, you are not allowed to return me to normal, or even let me go as I am, so you decide to keep me as your pet.

I awaken to find myself on a sidewalk. But something’s off about it. It’s far too wide. I notice that the grass nearby is taller than it should be.
